A few moments after the Mayor's X-mas tree lighting we wanted to note activist Alonzo Washington bringing a bit of wisdom to the situation.

Yes, instead of 42-yr. old rapper Aaron Yates(Tech N9ne), the Mayor could have invited a criminal, Councilman Brooks, or some other poor example of a person. So, yes, it could have been worse. Please go back and review the lyrics from one of Mr. Yates songs which someone posted the other day.
But, the REAL point (the one Mr. Washington totally missed) is that Mayor James did NOT select an outstanding representative from the KC public for this honor. Bottomline, Mayor James failed on this occasion to score public relations points.
Tech Clueless might not do the crime but he glorifies the criminal element making it sound like it's a cool thing to do. So explain to me how that is a healthy thing for young blacks kids or for that matter any kid to see all the time?
