In other words . . . Courtney Cole represents the next generation of "girl power" soon to run Kansas City.
Nobody is questioning her motives and we're certain that her heart is pure but this longtime Missouri political operative and former State Rep. candidate now seems to have found her niche by advocating women's issues in Missouri.
Sadly, via Twitter Ms. Cole didn't answer TKC questions about unsolved rapes and murders in Kansas City's urban core that are being neglected while our Jackson County prosecutor takes on this Maryville issue that she could have declined. We assume that Ms. Cole was too busy fighting the hegemony to hit us back with a 140 character reply.
But that's a topic for another day . . .

In the final analysis . . . Some political power for Ms. Cole and maybe a book/movie deal for the poor broad at the center of this controversy is in order and not such a bad thing considering that some claim the merits of the rightfully dismissed case are flimsy and circumstantial at best.

I think if anything, using this case as an opportunity to bring awareness to these issues and start having discussions about ways to find solutions to the rape culture society that we live in is a good thing.
Often we look for "targets" and try to place blame. In reality, we all play a role in our society as a whole. You can either sit back and throw punches or step up and do the right thing. The choice is yours. :)
