Kansas City will soon to be the home of a Midwestern pride apparel movement touted by an upstart t-shirt company . . .
Check it:
Raygun will expand to Kansas City
Money quote:
"The locally iconic Des Moines T-shirt shop Raygun plans to open the doors of a new store in Kansas City, Mo. next spring. The expansion of the store’s third site and first out-of-Iowa location aligns with its transition from a company that champions Iowa to one that champions all of the Midwest."
Check the RAYGUN website for a look @ their gear.
The Midwest: God's Gift To Planet Earth Book is nice but kinda reveals that these guys are accustomed to the supportive and upbeat culture of Iowa . . . Kansas City is far more catty and Crossroads vendors constantly battle with one another and not-so-quietly hope for the demise of their neighbors.
Oh yeah . . . And let's not even mention this year's Crosssroads robbery and crime spike that was mostly ignored by mainstream media.
Good luck to these t-shirt guys taking their game to the Crossroads that's home to First Friday gawking that rarely comes with a purchase . . .
Where can we get TKC tshirts?
