TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY SCHOOL BOARD EXODUS!!! KYLEEN CARROLL CALLS IT QUITS!!!

They kept this one out of the news but THE MOST AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS know the score and want to share the info.

To wit . . .

KYLEEN CARROLL CALLS IT QUITS AND RIGHT NOW THERE SEEMS TO BE A SCHOOL BOARD EXODUS!!!

Kyleen Carroll's term doesn't expire until 2014 and she doesn't have one of those fancy titles like Sergent-At-Arms. Still, this white lady giving up on the School Board VERY EARLY is rather significant.

Check the presser that was kept out of mainstream media for the most part with maybe only a cursory mention . . .

KANSAS CITY, MISSOURI- Kansas Citians, I am excited to be able to pursue a leadership opportunity to further my professional career, however my new endeavors will take me outside of Kansas City, and as such I am resigning today from the elected At-Large seat on the Board of Directors of the Kansas City Public Schools.

It was nearly four years ago when I shared with you my experiences of teaching middle school students in Kansas City Public Schools and our opportunity to unleash their limitless potential. In 2010 you stood with me and we decided that Our Children Deserved Better. Because you have continued to stand with me and Kansas City Public Schools I can say with confidence that when my students graduated from high school this last spring to go onto college they experienced:

• Safer learning environments
• Updated Curriculum based on higher standards of achievement
• Updated schools
• Financially sound school district for 3 years with clean audits
• Teaching and learning on the path to full accreditation
• Strong, talented, and focused district leadership & staff
• A dedicated school board team committed to continuous improvement

Although I will miss serving Kansas City students and families, I am excited about our students’ continuous growth, their new access to state of the art learning with laptops for every kid, and meaningful full accreditation just around the corner.

I am proud of the excellent leadership and hard work of Superintendent Dr. Green, district leadership and staff as evidenced by outcomes. I am thankful to share a deep camaraderie with my school board team and I will miss their thought leadership, but I am confident in their dedication and teamwork abilities to take the school district to the next level.

Kansas City will always hold a place in my heart where ever I go and the faces of my students will be a continued source of inspiration on my journey to take the fight to a higher level. A special thank you to my family, friends, and colleagues that made my service possible and continue to inspire me.

So much for their "big push for accreditation" . . . It'll be hard to convince Missouri to reinstate accreditation after decades if the members are bailing out.

Again, what this means is that talk of so-called "progress" isn't really all that convincing given that the School Board is bailing out.

Developing . . .

  1. Sad when social media is more accurate than the agenda of the paper.

  3. Who in their fucking right minds think that the school board has anything to do with what occurs in the classroom on a daily basis? I don't care if they shit golden rabbits out of their asses. I will be coming in on Monday and teaching all of the 164 kids that chose to come to school that day.

The fact that we have people leaving the board should be a positive indicator. It indicates that they either can't steal anything or there is nothing left to steal. It would be nice if they would stop hiring consultants and start hiring teachers to bring some of the classroom sizes into compliance with MSIP standards.

  10. This board has been failing the kids and families of KCMO for 40 years. One person leaving will not impact their capacity to fail. This district needs to be dismantled. It is a failed monopoly.

  11. I'd fuck her in the ass. Then cum all over her face and tits. Get some.in her hair too, eventhough she asked me not too.

  12. Another human, who has had quite enough of trying to educate niggers and their niglets. It doesn't work, never has worked and never will work. Niggers are incapable of being educated and instead, prefer to spread their venom through violence and crime.

  13. There was a white lady on the school board?

  15. Kayleen who? and what?
Nobody cares about ANY school board member. They are on the bottom rung of a slippery political ladder. This time next week if this lady is spoken of it will be "That woman who left her school board seat. What's her name?"
A school board seat used to be the entry level for politics, Not Any More.
Oh right, you thought they did it "for the kids"?

If her hair had been pink maybe should have had an impact.
