WyCo commish Tarence Maddox was recently caught on tape by KSHB newsie Ryan Kath throwing an EPIC temper tantrum that landed him in trouble with the authorities.
Now, he's denying the incident . . .

Maddox says his fiance ordered tickets to Legoland online. They had hoped to walk right in, but there was a problem. Maddox said he walked away and she handled it, but when an employee disrespected her, Maddox said he intervened.
“They questioned her ability to read. No one treats her like that, so I stepped in,” explained Maddox.

Yes, Commissioner Maddox rose above the situation and handled it with tact, class and aplomb. A shining example for the children. Bravo!!!

This is the example by people who are supposed to be "leaders" - on top of dick pics, scamming $15k to keep people quiet, blackmailing in the name of doing it for the kids, road rage, pot smoking, not showing up to court for court date b/c you're entitled. ReplyDeleteThis is exactly why I distrust virtually any Black politician. This incident was over a coupon... a coupon. It's pretty clear that his behavior is part and parcel with his gaining an elected position. For some reason, Black politicians believe because the people have confidence enough to vote them into public office that their position now makes them above the law (or gives them permission to be as disrespectful as they can possibly be). Kansas City, Kansas is otherwise a good town and this should not be a reflection on other leaders there.

Quite possibly there may be Black politicians who operate on the up and up. I just don't know of any.
The Black political legacy is stained by people like Jessie Jackson, Al Sharpton, Marion Barry, Kwame Kilpatrick, Ray Naigin and a host of others.
Kansas City has Sly James and his behavior remains mostly unabated. He's had a brother who was shooting at people at a funeral and a son who is always around when somebody gets shot. Then take into account all of the eco devo schemes that most of the taxpayers don't want... Do the math. This isn't a good look.
For some reason political power looks more like a political power trip for many Black politicians.

If they don't get their way or in their mind you disrespect them the n....r is coming out (his words not mine, I'm not the n word guy). Perhaps it's black folks' defense mechanism against perceived racist people and institutions. Regardless, as an elected official he needs to be above reproach.
