No Flash Mobs: Kansas City Plaza Art Fair 2013

No flash mobs at this year's Kansas City Plaza Art Fair . . . In fact, suburbanites were out in full force.

Take a peek at a few highlights according to TKC . .

Really liked this one . . . Seems appropriate given the current era of gun violence, wars and death wishes.

Latino death culture influence . . .

Even more Kansas City Chiefs tribute . . . There's no escaping it really.

Edward Bartoszek has always been a TKC favorite local artist.

Dead Tree Media stage full of local bands . . . Some of them were pretty good but I'm an optimist like that . .

More cartoon cleverness that seemed appropriate and caught my eye . . .

This is where I spent most of the night . . .

Doggie art . . . Couldn't find one playing poker.

Another look at the crowd . . . Of Leawood flash mobbers for art's sake.

And this inspired tonight's playlist . . .

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday Night.

  1. Song #1 and #3 aren't too bad. And a few of the pix were worthwhile.

  2. The kids weren't in the art fair, but they were everywhere in and around Mill Creek Park. Chaos again.

  5. What? The suburbanites didn't flash? No shootings between the Prairie Village and Overland Park golf and charity gangs? Maybe the lesson is to remove Kansas City people from Kansas City. Then we might be able to rebuild it into the great city it once was.

  6. Finally, the niggers were kept at bay, for a moment anyway....

  8. Tony, it's amazing how many pussies who wet their pants at the sight of a black teenager are reading your blog.

You'd think all these brave boys talking tough on the Internet wouldn't be so afraid in real life.

  9. No, it's just the sight of a live, black teenager. I really smile at the picture of Trayvon and one's like him.. Fuck a bunch of niggers, young and old alike.

  10. Too cold.
Goof that it wasn't in the 90's.

  11. So it is culture that keeps them away. An orchestra playing classical music would be more effective than extra police (polease) and private security in keeping flash mobs away.
