Right now a Kansas City web series has captured our attention because the back story is probably more interesting than the Internets video.
First, take a look at the show:
Kill Em All is a Kansas City web series drama that offers a fictionalized account of local mob life.
The cast and crew have some decent credits worthy of late night cable-TV-fare and overall there are worse things on the Internets.
Still . . . Kansas City Insiders question acting hopeful Joe Pete Simone talking openly about local crime drama and Northeast connections given his bad boy reputation. Maybe that's a selling point of this movie but an insider asks:
"Do we really need a low-budget Sopranos for Kansas City?"
You decide . . .

To be fair, the cinematography is pretty good and there's lots of Kansas City footage that urban core denizens will recognize.
But doesn't anybody believe in singing and dancing anymore? Is a musical every once in awhile too much to ask?

We're working on other stuff so we don't have time to watch all of it . . . Any helpful reviews are welcomed.
Hopefully, more BREAKING/EXCLUSIVE NEWS, debate, discourse, probably more than our share of hateration and all kinds of good stuff coming up in just a few . . . STAY TUNED!!!
Yes , considering that all internet search results say that Pete (Paul or Mary) Simone is the " mafia boss" that gives this little pussy some street cred. Not. Still an ineffectual pussy like the rest of them. Suck on a cannoli for me.
ReplyDeleteSome of it was okay. the video work was better than most.
ReplyDeleteVideo work was pretty fair, the acting sucked to high Heaven!
ReplyDeletePlease the mob is all dead now in kc.
ReplyDeleteYeah, don't forget to tell Willie...
ReplyDeleteIf this was about the KC mob shouldn't it be called 'Video Poker Them All'?
ReplyDeleteHey, why wasn't I interviewed!? I'm The Man on the North End (even though it's really the extreme North part of Kansas City, North of the River).

ReplyDeleteI got a copy of Bordello that worth showing friends
ReplyDeletePete Simone is Joe Pete's dad. Most organized crime is unprovable, which is why most "mobsters" go to prison for tax evasion. I had heard KC's "mob" ran one of the most sophisticated money laundering operations the FBI had ever seen.
ReplyDeleteThe newest episode of Kill Em All is out starring Hollywood actor Richard Tyson from 3 o'clock High, Something about Mary, etc. It's the fact that someone from Kansas City is putting in hard work to compete with the entertainment industry. Filming and employing locals plus Hollywood talent and unionizing a dead market is the key to all of this. Please help these guys and gals by sharing the series with the world.
ReplyDeleteP.S. - the Joe Pete idea was a funny way of connecting past real characters with modern fiction to cause a stir. Same as all other shows in this genre.
The. Mob is far from dead this is a great show to bad local station won't pick it up
ReplyDeleteWHAT SHIT! THIS THING BELONGS IN THE FRIGGING TOILET! SOME OF THE WORST ACTING I THINK I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY WHOLE LIFE!!!! REAL LIVE SHIT IN THE TOILET!!!!!!!
