TKC EXCLUSIVE QUESTION: DID JAXCO EXEC MIKE SANDERS RUIN HIS SHOT IN THE MISSOURI ATTORNEY GENERAL RACE??!?!

Kansas City political insiders are surprised at a rare misstep from Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders.

To wit . . .

JACKSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS DEFENDING DISGRACED MO HOUSE REP. JEREMY LAFAVER AMID A POT BUST SCANDAL MIGHT HAVE DESTROYED HIS CHANCES AT WINNING A RACE FOR MISSOURI ATTORNEY GENERAL!!!

The money quote from the otherwise politically astute Jackson County politico . . .

"Attitudes of 10, 15, 20 years ago are not the attitudes of today," said Sanders in an interview with KMBC TV, “so not only does it not impact Democrats in Missouri, I don’t think it impacts Jeremy as well, in the long term”.

Actually, that's not completely correct given that word from Jeff City is that the GOP is having a field day with this one.

Remember that County Exec Sanders and Missouri Democrats are hinting about a run for AG.

Now . . .

STANDING UP FOR A NEWBIE DEMOCRATIC PARTY POLITICO AMID A POT BUST SCANDAL AT THE OUTSET OF A RED STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL RUN DOESN'T INSPIRE CONFIDENCE!!!

The former prosecutor arguing that a weed bust is no big deal for a Democratic political ally won't play well in a statewide election. Either the County Exec has a very short memory OR he isn't serious about being Attorney General in Missouri. Either way, Jackson County still busts people weed and this CLEAR DOUBLE STANDARD reveals that elected officials in Kansas City have seemingly put political alliances above the law.

Comments

  1. Sanders will run for County Executive again and no one will challenge him. Bet on that.

  2. I agree, he is the man that has brought honest and accountable government to Jackson County. He is the Best.

  3. You cant have it both ways you are for the law or against it, i have trouble with his remarks alot of trouble

  4. Mike can only win a race where nobody runs against him. That pretty much limits him to the county and maybe a judgeship after that. He's a cool customer but his fear of conflict won't ever get him a Congressional seat, even if Cleaver handed it to him.

  5. Is Mike a pot smoker?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Nobody is going to remember this in 2016, Tony.

    ReplyDelete
  7. because they're smoking pot

  8. He is right, 3 grams of marijuana wont end anyones career these days. Even Gov Perry wants to give drug offenders probation, not exactly a liberal.

    ReplyDelete
  9. WTF?
He's the BEST?? at what? He hasn't done anything.
He is the best at STRINGING EASTERN JACK MAYORS along his toy train track.
He moved Combat into his County Exec office when Kanatzar got the job of prosecutor. What has Combat done lately? ring doorbells? For $$29 million dollars a year in tax money Combat UNDER MIKE's PERVIEW should be doing a whole lot more.

MIKE HAS BEEN A HUGE WASTE OF TIME. CATHY JOLLY HAS BEEN MORE PRODUCTIVE AT THE COUNTY COURTHOUSE.

  10. Sanders is awful. His motor mouth reminds me of someone on speed.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Combat is in the prosecutor's office. Mike has nothing to do with that. Claire was responsible as was Mike when he was in that office. Kanatazar must have been okay as we didn't hear anything bad.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sorry to disagree, Combat was moved to the Executive's office, maybe as a bargaining chip Kanatzar used to be named PA.

Agree that an Attorney General should work within the frame work of legislation to change laws he/she deems unfair. Not make broad statements to help a friend out of a self made hole. Bad judgment.

  13. Sanders is ultimately going to end up worse off for being a part of John Rizzo's fraud.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Stop the press! The Mo Dem chair is a liberal! Grumble grumble grumble. Good for him, at least he had the balls to say what most politicians think but wont say.

    ReplyDelete
  15. So why fund COMBAT any more if the Jackson County Exec doesn't want to fund drug laws?

I'd like my property tax money back, please.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sanders supported LaFaver and Rizzo both. He is a crooked as Sherwood Smith's dick (and every bit as stinky, I hear).

Say what you want about Sanders' gambling and womanizing, or rant about LaFaver's being a pedo (like so many other Jackson County insiders are); but don't say anything bad about Tony's boy, Johnny Rizzo.

  18. Royster please take your medicine

  19. I certainly hope that Skippy has an opponent for county executive. I have never voted for him and I won't start now. He is a total douchebag. He should be run out of politics and MO

    ReplyDelete
  20. Rizzo is back online - defensive and scared as ever.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I believe the above are correct summaries of facts regarding Mike Sanders supporting Jeremy LaFaver and John J. Rizzo. It seems both his choices yielded poor results, and that reflects directly upon Mike Sanders.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I have no problem with LaFaver smoking pot. I have a problem with the dipshit smoking pot while driving a car with expired tags and a pipe where the police could find it. LaFaver has got to be stupid and we have enough stupid people in politics.

    ReplyDelete
  23. So "Snow-job-a-minute-Sanders", is saying exactly what? A state congressman possessing illegal drugs ain't much of a big deal? Man I bet there are a shit load of parolees that would love kicking Mike's fat ass right now.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Being a representative and public servant of US and MO citizens is a hard job and requires sharp, intelligent people. Why would we want someone with brain damage serving our state in such a condition??

    ReplyDelete
  25. Mike is a fat version of that small weasel on "Mad Men" who got the secretary pregnant but not his wife.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Anyone ever consider that that worthless little moron LaFaver was set up? PC was expired tags? Maybe the cops were looking for him.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes it was a conspiracy to get a pot head!

    Wrong. LaFaver Loves The Reefer.

    ReplyDelete
  28. He never had a shot at Attorney General in the first place. Who mislead this poor man?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Right, Mike is just trying to launch lead balloons. He can't run 2 races in a tight time frame. What a liar.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tony smokes pole

    ReplyDelete
  31. Why does everyone hate Mike? Because he is the biggest liar this side of the Mississippi. That's why the governor keeps throwing bones to John Burnett's relative when it comes to judgeships. Margarine Burnett gets Division 2 to assuage john, who was promised the Jaco prosecutor appointment but was left in the cold when fucktard Mike didn't pick him.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Mike sanders is a fat turd. he rolls over for Tindall, fat bastard doesn't like conflict so he gets pushed around by Urban Summit. best thing about him is hasn't sexted his tiny wiener.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'd smoke pot - if it was legal. Otherwise, I don't want to risk going to jail because lawmakers have made it illegal. Guess if you're a lawmaker you don't have to worry about following them just making them and making sure poor people follow them or get locked up.
