TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CRITICS TAKE AIM @ CITY HALL FOR NOT GETTING CONGRESSMAN SAM GRAVES ABOARD KCI SINGLE-TERMINAL PLAN!!!

Once again Kansas City's incompetence in developing a multi-billion dollar plan has been called into question.

To wit . . .

CONGRESSMAN SAM GRAVES DROPPED A BOMBSHELL YESTERDAY WHEN HE NOTED HIS OPPOSITION TO THE KCI SINGLE-TERMINAL SCHEME AND NOW CITY HALL IS TAKING HEAT FOR FAILING TO INCLUDE THE MISSOURI POLITICAL JUGGERNAUT IN THEIR PLANS!!!

See Rep. Sam Graves pictured here in his favorite shirt . . .

A few more fun facts regarding Congressman Graves . . .

Rep. Graves is a majority member of United States House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

Congressman Graves is also a senior member on the United States House Transportation Subcommittee on Aviation

And now . . .

A KICK-ASS TKC READER and Kansas City Insider offers us a perspective on this major blunder from City Hall brought to light by Congressman Graves offering open opposition of the single-terminal airport plan.

Money quote:

"How in the #@*%! do you not make sure the Congressman for the district in which the airport resides is not part of the deal? Even worse, he's a member of not one but TWO congressional committees that have a major impact on EVERYTHING having to do with the airport. This isn't just an oversight, it's either arrogance or ignorance. Whatever the case, the fact that Congressman Graves isn't on board with the single-terminal plan and he's willing to go on record and say so in a PUBLIC MEETING should inform everyone that Kansas City hasn't done their homework on this proposal and City Hall shouldn't be trusted to take on a project of this magnitude."

And so Kansas City local government "ignorance or arrogance" has once again thwarted their big plans from taking flight . . . And in this instance City Hall incompetence in developing a monumental project has actually worked to the advantage of residents for the moment.

Developing . . .

  1. Our Kansas City City leaders don't need cooperation. They rule by dictate.

Mayor James is the King of Kansas City.

  4. At least one Congressman in this metropolitan area is on his j-o-b. It's more than I can say for the rest of the so-called elected officials. Now, that he's stepped up and is clearly working for the people. I may need to move into his district. Good job, Congressman.

To answer this polite and articulate man or woman's question... The way you ensure that a project moves forward is to keep others in the dark (ie - voters and "working for the people" congressman). It is a display of arrogance and ignorance. This City Council is full of arrogant, ignorant fucks. Sly James is the biggest and sloppiest of them all. And there... that's how you do it.

  6. Hey, I'm the big nigger on the block, Mayor of KC. I don't need no stinking Congressman. I'm a strong Mayor (maybe soon)....

  7. Sly just needs to have his "water boy" Councilman Brooks sext Sam Graves a pic of his junk - THAT'LL get the Senator on board!

  8. Graves can bluster but he can't do a whole lot to stop the airport rebuild. City leaders have half a million citizens they should be paying attention before some chucklefuck on a no-name committee in the do-nothing congress.

  9. Who would expect that the same people who said put the terminal here, no wait, put it here instead because we didn't notice there were no roads at the first location, would get any other ducks in line?

  10. Those titties are about to fly out of her shirt, what were you saying?

  11. Totally unacceptable!
You have failed to identify that gorgeous stewardess babe!
I will now have to do my own detective work.

  12. If Graves is so against it, I have to give the single terminal idea another look ...

  13. Graves is a (little) dick.

  14. The "off the record" person is a global prairie employee. More of the same from them trying to spread the bad PR blame around. They let a congressman from 2 1/2 hours away to come in here and run an entire news cycle with no response, no one to attend the hearing and no pushback? They are awful at tough pr: want a press release? They are great. Want to go to battle? No freakin way.
