TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! DEAD TREE MEDIA READER CRACKDOWN!!! KANSAS CITY STAR DISABLES ALL ZIMMERMAN VERDICT COMMENTS!!!

In a rather EPIC and historic fashion, the Kansas City Star comes up with the most ironic headline in local media today regarding the Zimmerman acquittal.

Check it:

Kansas City reacts to the George Zimmerman verdict

Scroll down past the story . . . I'll wait . . . Here's what readers will see . . .

Additionally, here's some more Kansas City Star Dead Tree Media advice via an unsigned editorial . . .

Seek justice for Trayvon Martin through violence prevention

And following this missive . . . Once again . . .

So I guess nobody will be seeking justice in The Star's comment section.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY STAR CRACKDOWN ON COMMENTS REVEALS THAT THE NEWSPAPER ISN'T INTERESTED IN LOCAL REACTION TO THE ZIMMERMAN VERDICT OR FACILITATING A DISCUSSION OF THE NEWS!!!

This misguided and old school approach to journalism is just one more reason why newspapers have become a thing of the past and the last place people turn for a real world discussion of Kansas City.

  1. You know what TKC?

They have some great coupons and you don't.

    So there.

  2. There is NOTHING the KC Star has, that TKC doesn't have BETTER. The Star is a worthless rag, suitable for wrapping fish only.

  3. You show a woman from a stip club as part of your title. Come on TKC. Leave the stripper of of here.

KC Star chose to disabled the comments because they do not want the ignorance of Kansas City to be shown.. It was not a White on Black crime. Zimmerman considers himself Hispanic. I guess neighborhood watch patrolmen will have to carry knives instead of guns.

  4. "There is NOTHING the KC Star has, that TKC doesn't have BETTER."

I don't know about that. Roughly 100 percent of the Star's content is links to the KC Star. Only about 75 percent of Tony's content is that.

As for "real world discussion," well nine year olds calling each other a big, fat doody is also "free speech" and just about the level of discussion Tony offers.

  5. "I guess neighborhood watch patrolmen will have to carry knives instead of guns."

Neighborhood watch patrolem should carry neither knives nor guns. They should carry cell phones, however, then follow the cops' instructions when they call.

  6. The Kracker had a cell phone dumbass. I will beat the low life to death with a cell phone while I wait for KCPD to respond.

  7. People still read the Star? I haven't picked up that paper in YEARS.

  8. What's the difference between a neighborhood watch person and your average rent a cop.

For the most part not a thing. Neither will really have proper training as a rule. but a unarmed someone standing is a uniform makes it people feel better for some reason. But what does it make you feel safer from? Remember a security person was shot in this fair town just a few hours ago doing their job. For that the guard was probably making a few cents over minimum wage. Guess they had no gun to protect themselves and probably will tell you if they had one they could have shot back at this thug.

Of all you people who think Zimmerman was guilty, I would like to know how many of you know he was because you was there or because you listened to what the media was feeding you? The jury saw all the stuff you didn't before making up their mind.

  9. If all neighborhood watch people are stupid as zimmerman and all Zimmerman fans are obviously as stupid as zimmerman then the neighborhood watch program is just a vigilante who's who.

  10. You are missing an important point - what will Latina Mary Sanchez do? Stick up for the Hispanics? Bend over for the African Americans? Like the Stark Pharmacy commercial says -what do I do, what do I do?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Ido know zimmerman smoked dope and beat his girl friend and couldn't keep a job. So i guess being a prick doesnt make Zimmerman a bad person

Building Trayvon into a martyr while black America takes step after step in the wrong direction is the height of stupidity.
O well, I guess everybody needs their boogeyman.

As for the Star, they exist to sell advertising. They give two shits of your opinions. I thought everyone knew that.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Why be fixated on a washed up news rag. that Star hasn't been a real media outlet or newspaper in years?

    ReplyDelete
  14. It doesnt take much to make a martyr after Zimmerman killed a kid. Turns out trevon dad is like uncle ruckus on boonedocks

    ReplyDelete
  15. The Star disables comments on several stories every day. They don't like controversy. They also don't like comments that are better written and more concise than the story on which they're meant for.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Racism is controversial

  17. Uncle Ruckus.. what an asshole

  18. good writers are bad for business

  19. Hey 8:22, Zimmerman may be stupid but he's ALIVE and that nigger he shot is NOT! Who's stupid?? Dumb fucking niggers...

  20. GOOD AND YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. Your blog is a dumpster and you have allowed it to become that by your comments sections. You have blown any serious legitimacy that you could have claimed.

12:36 and yet you wouldn't go through a day without it, would you? Oh, the self-loathing must be immense! Dipshit.

  22. Actually we can go without the star more than TKC. If you can't appreciate the negativity you might be in for a bumpy ride

    ReplyDelete
  23. Of course the Star turned off comments, I have come to expect that. I guess they can run things the way they want to--it is after all their site. In the same way this is Tony's place. It's a wide open world--there is something for everyone. I would prefer the Star leave their comments open with moderation as needed. I can vote with my mouse how I like things.

  24. The star cost a lot of money for little information

    ReplyDelete
  25. And yet, TKC is free, with little information, as well! In fact, thanks to 'zo and Glazer, it's often filled with dis-information.

My advice? check out the big hogans on some of those girls pictured, but don't try to read too much of the blogging going on. It WILL make you stupid.

  26. Politics makes for unprofitable content. But it's a shame to see the star turning away readers.

  27. TKC... Home of free speech on the interwebz in KC! Thank you for providing a platform where we can raise hell at racist douchebags!
