TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! LATEST UPDATE FROM PLAZA PATROL!!!

Tonight we have a WELCOMED message of peace on Kansas City's Country Club Plaza.

Sadly, there's still a note of some disparity that remains . . .

Nevertheless  . . .

WE WANT TO THANK THE PLAZA PATROL FOR PROVIDING THIS ALTERNATIVE COVERAGE OF THE HOT MESS ON KANSAS CITY'S PREMIERE COUNTRY CLUB PARTY DISTRICT!!!

Now take a peek at the communiqué . . .

Plaza Patrol!

We're a bit later than usual getting this weeks Plaza Report in to TKC. As kind of older people, we are not accustomed to dancing for hours on end and are still recovering!

We have not yet figured out exactly what the rules regarding permits for performing at the Plaza. As best we can tell, it appears that the decision makers give permits based on whatever sort of mood they are in at the time they are asked. On the plus side permits seem to not be entirely necessary so long as the shoppers like the performers. In any case, we showed up this weekend, expecting to find AY Musik in front of Scooter's Coffeehouse and instead found a jazz band that the Plaza paid to play at that spot. After walking around a bit, we found them and, for the first time, finally caught almost all of their show. So long as no one is getting maced, beaten, thrown into fountains, or unfairly barred from Plaza-life, we're happy, as are the many other people in this weekend's video from the Plaza...

Until further notice, Plaza Patrol will just be hanging out with AY Musik for the free 5 hour AY Show (and outdoor dance party) at the Plaza every Friday and Saturday from 5pm-ish until 10pm-ish throughout the summer, except when it is raining. The AY Show is the band AY music, which includes a DJ and members of other bands standing in for various sets. If you would like to be a part of the AY show, check them out at https://www.facebook.com/events/554629547908604/

Plaza Patrol... over and out... unless something considerably more interesting than the AY Show happens at the Plaza.

Oh, and one of our homeless friends pointed out that Plaza Security is generally referred to as Plaza Patrol. Lol.

Happy Summer to All ♥

  7. Why did Jackson County Parks and Recreation Director Michele Newman approve of a Klan rally at Missouri Town on September 14, 2013?

Because she is a White woman who knows that niggers are inferior?

    Yes

    ReplyDelete
  8. No because she had no reason to not approve it without the county being sued you idiot

    ReplyDelete
  9. 9:42 What the hell are you on about? When and where did the parks director say this would be a whites only event? I mean, it's obvious by the title and content of the event that it is intended to be whites only, but white people don't usually say it flat out like that.

    ReplyDelete
  10. 9:49 cities and counties approve klan rallies all the time. they call it free speech even though even though the events can end up costing thousands of dollars of tax payer money providing security and other amenities for the klan/nazis/confederates

    ReplyDelete
  11. Glad the dope smoking mudshark is happy. Now Craig can write his column about the time he filled her with coke, then filled her with dick over at the Woodside. As for the event at Missouri Town I'm sure that slaves are welcome.

  16. Who is Chuck?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Superdave - I thought you said the county would get sued for having a klan rally and now you're saying it's ok to have a klan rally because the tax payers are accustomed to footing the bill for things that are detrimental to society? Klan sympathizers are such fucking idiots.

    ReplyDelete
  29. First off 10:49 I am not a Klan sympathizer and you are a clueless idiot.

You think counties being sued for limiting free speech rallies for nothing other than they don't like the group is smart either? Use your head dummy. You want my real opinion? I say all groups should have to rent places to have their speeches and talks and pay for all costs to do so. That all public parks be banned from any speeches or rallies political or not. Not a single penny of taxpayers money should be used for any groups events. If they can't pay for it all, then to bad it ain't happening.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Dance with me Super Dave and suck my titties!

  46. don't always agree with Dave but his comments are some of the best.

Really like AY. They're pretty damn good if you give them a listen.

As for the rest of the trolls. They're just the typical loons on the Internet.

    ReplyDelete
  47. AY put on a great show Friday night. There was a very diverse - in every way - crowd. I know the crowd I'm talking to - but seriously - it was a beautiful thing. All races and ages dancing and having a great time!

  48. Food For Thought6/17/13, 12:31 AM

Isn't a Glazer the guy over at Dunkins who squirts icing on all the donuts?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Super Dave, our young children need to learn the glories of the Confederacy, and the horrors caused by the nigger-loving federals. You can mark the Missouri Town rally down to public education.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Isn't this "black culture" thing wonderful? Such classy quotes and intellectual thoughts. Oh yes, under the black plan, the Plaza will indeed thrive.... Sure it will.

    ReplyDelete
  51. So this Plaza Patrol thing was really just about propping up some street performers and was never REALLY about making sure the evil plaza white overlords didnt lynch, mace, taze, or water board any innocent disadvantaged urban yoots.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Why is he doing this when he can just kick back in his 350K house? Feeling guilty or something about the less fortunate?

    ReplyDelete
  53. September 14

    White Power

    ReplyDelete
  54. Don't know nothin' about all the gossip commin' from the KKK/CCC but they talk pretty faggy

    ReplyDelete
  55. The ladies liked AY . The plaza patrons had fun. YEA AY!

    ReplyDelete
  56. Since AY Musik get to, does this mean that ANY "band" in KC can just go to the Plaza any time they want, set up equipment and play?

    ReplyDelete
  57. To play on the street at the Plaza you need to apply for a permit which takes six months or longer. Plus, you have to pay for electricity.

    ReplyDelete
  58. It helps not to suck.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Has this AY Show got the permit 12:23 speaks of?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Your question sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I don't think anyone has been able to figure out what the rules are regarding the need for and distribution of permits for playing music at the Plaza. It seems like there are not really any set standards, the owners just do whatever they feel like even though it is a public, tax funded space.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Street musicians have been an embedded tradition at the Plaza long before the new owners took over.
