Kansas City Long Term Infrastructure FAIL: Old And Busted Water Mains Over Time

Thanks to a KICK-ASS TKC READER for sending us this view of old and busted infrastructure AND a bit of KC resident testimony . . .



Here's the money quote . . .

"Old And Busted Water Mains - In the 9000 block of Charlotte Street. This water main has broken in the same spot about eight times over the past 20 years."



Luckily, Kansas City is spending HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS on a toy train streetcar that's going to be so much fun that a ride on it will make residents forget LONGSTANDING problems like this one.

UPDATE: "A crew is working on the sixth break on this block since Tuesday, and there is a seventh leak in progress on the other end of the street."
