A 15-year-old is being treated at Children’s Mercy Hospital after being shot during a botched burglary early Friday morning.
"Police said the 15-year-old used a hammer to smash the front window of the Snack Pack around 1:30 a.m. The owner was at the convenience store at 45th and Prospect and shot the teen. He was grazed by a bullet and his injuries are considered non-life threatening."
