HUNDREDS SEEK JACKSON COUNTY PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENT PAYBACK!!!



A quick update and follow-up to TKC TIPSTER BREAKING NEWS regarding Jackson Property Tax Problems . . .

Thousands of Jackson County residents will see an increase in their property tax assessment this year. So far, 600 people have appealed.

If you are not satisfied that the market value on your reassessment notice is correct, you may request an informal hearing with an appraiser by calling (816) 881-4601 - But you should probably be prepared to wait until the end of time for an answer.

You also have the right to appeal to the Jackson County Board of Equalization (BOE). An appeal must be filed on or before the third Monday in June -- as provided by Sec. 137.385 R.S.Mo.

  5. County had neglected to do assessments for around 10 years in some cases? That's the story staff is giving out?
    Crap, there was a housing bubble. we are still crawling out from the blow back of the INFLATED prices. if anything taxes should go down a bit.
