DeleteIsn't interesting how people come rushing to help a former rich professional person pay his bills because he was to stupid to plan his senior years correctly. He can suffer like the rest of us would if it was to happen to one of us.
ReplyDeleteShow some compassion. He was not "stupid" with his money. His wife has a very bad illness. This kind of thing happens to a lot of people and this story shows that it can even happen to the most respected of people.

ReplyDeleteCompletely wrong Carrie. Maybe he shouldn't have run for office so many times during his advanced old age. I'm sure that cost a pretty penny. It costs just to play people to collect signatures to get on the ballot so even he didn't run a campaign he did spend his money in the process. If he hadn't spend his money on feeding his ego then maybe he would still be in his house. Think about that before you try and push Obamacare on all of us.

he can pick up a cute little ranch style home in the Ruskin neighborhood. Maybe he should have thought of downsizing instead of trying to maintain his high profile lifestyle by pulling out a reverse mortgage. He didn't think much of people on fixed income when he was mayor, increasing taxes for people who were just trying to get by. What comes around goes around.
