Does anyone recall is bullying tactics five years ago. He picked up a label as "Bully-Boy Johnson". His attitude cost the city a light rail election. He even got into publically bad-mouthing a very well known banker.

Well, after the pro job stance of this administration, we learned on the evening news that closing the current terminals would allow laying off 250 security officers. So if you are promoting three election issues this past tuesday, you are pro jobs but in justifying the billion dollar remake of the airport you justify it with eleminating jobs. Go figure.

ReplyDeleteMark Van Loh is the story behind all of this and he has plenty of International travel and other perks for "tools" like Russ. Van Loh wants a big airport that will need Bi-state funding and a Commission so that he can get out from under City Control. Then the Commission sells or leases the facility to a private company that he (Van Loh)., Johnson and maybe even Bill Skaggs earn off of or at the least skim more perks from. You heard it here.

I heard one of the City Council guys on tv today compare the citizens to folks who wanted to ride horses down main street and say we needed to get with the times.

That is right. Me an all my rich fuckin buddies are constantly complainin about how we can't get direct flights to fuckin Paris, London and St. Fuckin Barts.

There may or not be compelling reasons for tearing down the old airport and spending billions to make blue collar stiffs like me wait in line for a flight to Chicago so some rich fuck can bank a some more coin, but the condescending comments from city council members so insulated from their constituents that they believe we are all vacationing in fuckin Europe every couple of months are counterproductive on all levels.
It is hard to cheer for either Little Mr. Johnson or the greasy, drunk Mahoney.
