Earlier this afternoon at the Bulldog between Downtown and The Crossroads . . . The KC Renegades took another step toward their March 17th indoor football season kickoff.

To wit . . .

CHECK OUT EXCLUSIVE IMAGES OF THE NEW UNIFORMS FOR THE KC RENEGADES SEEN FIRST HERE @ TKC!!!

At the press conference General Manager Reggie Harris noted his high expectations for the team.

"We've assembled the best team in the league and we're well on our way to making our first season, a championship season," Harris said. "In a very short time the KC Renegades have created a remarkable synergy among coaching staff, players and management that will build the foundation of our success."

Mr. Harris also noted an interesting PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS THAT WOULD OFFER FREE TICKETS AND RETURN FUNDS TO LOCAL SCHOOLS. Mr. Harris noted that the effort will start with the Blue Springs School District and would then work to include 22 local school districts over the course of the 6 game season.

The dollar amount that could be returned to local schools is $78K to start.

Pro-footballers played a big part in this presser . . .

That's former Kansas City Chiefs pro-bowl player Gary Stills wearing the newly designed KC Renegades uniform.

The event was organized quickly but it's nice to see that at least one member of City Council was in attendance to show support for A TEAM THAT COULD SAVE KEMPER ARENA BY PUTTING FANS BACK IN THE STANDS!!!

"Kemper Arena is ready to have a team that will breath new life back into Kemper," Councilman Sharp said. "The organization looks like it could not only offer a venue to showcase local football talent but also bring pro-football to Downtown fans at an affordable price."

Councilman Sharp agreed that the KC Renegades strategy which emphasizes tailgating in the Kemper parking lot could be one of their keys to success.

Now take a look at the away game jersey . . .

Seen here . .. Demetrios Walker is a journeyman pro-football player and former Kansas City All-Metro standout.

Team owner Jeremy Ploeger offered some interesting insights about his experience putting the team together and we'll share those very soon . . .

However, today was mostly focused on offering fans a first glimpse of the new team uniforms and another reminder that the season is soon to start.

DEVELOPING . . .

  9. 12 dollar tickets for the games, and all seats are in the lower level. plus free parking.

I don't think you can get anything cheaper downtown.

Provided they have more talent than Bishop Miege they should be OK to watch.

The brigade were fun back when they played in Kemper, they just got too expensive.

  19. Gone. Not coming back.

  20. Where is Chris Moreno ,did he get fired again. ouch

    ReplyDelete
  21. Gotta love the spin in this town. First Kemper is worthless so we gotta build the salad bowl, but don't worry we will get a pro team for Sprint Center. Then (all of a sudden) we are going to need to save Kemper because we are going to get a pro team there too. What we really need to a pro team at city hall.....FAT CHANCE!!!

    Where is the IRS?

Chris Moreno did not "get fired." Chris Moreno simply stopped working for a shell corporation that did not have money to pay for his expertise.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Ploeger and Moreno are involved in mob. Moreno must be handling other "business".

    ReplyDelete
  24. I wonder whether Hennossy knows what vile things Moreno says about him and his wife? If he did I doubt he would be defending that scum on here.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If Moreno is working behind the scenes of this operation it is smart on his part.
