Activist meets with KCMO Mayor with tips on murder suspects
Successful crime solving activist, Alonzo Washington will soon have a meeting with KCMO Mayor Sly James regarding all the past and recent murders in KCMO and about the lack of success city funded anti-crime organizations and programs have in deterring murders in the city. During his meeting Alonzo Washington will present the mayor with a "binder full of killers". This list contains four suspected killers that Mr. Washington believes could help solve a number of murder cases in KCMO. These names are some of the many tips that have been obtained by Alonzo Washington's grassroots & unfunded anti-crime tips program. The murder cases that Alonzo may hold the keys to solving are as follows:
*Murder Case# 1: Victim: Chris Bartholomew
Date: May 20, 2007 Location: 39th & Broadway (Westport/Walgreens Parking Lot)
*Murder Case# 2: Victim: Damon D. Price JR.
Date: 03-28-2012 Location: 55th & Euclid
*Murder Case# 3: Victims: Steven L. Turner, Mark Anthony Smith & Johnnie Marie Rogers
Location: Killed at a firebombed home on 5628 College Blvd. Victims bodies was found almost a month later dumped at Emmanuel Cleaver Highway Blvd amongst trash.
*Murder Case# 4: A mass club shooting that killed & injured multiple victims.
Mr. Washington will also request that Mayor James support his efforts in trying to get President Barrack Obama or Vice President Joe Biden to come to 27th & Prospect to address gun violence in Urban America. Mr. Washington has written letters to the President and Vice President asking them to add KCMO as a stop on their tour promoting gun control. The state of Missouri is ranked number one in African American homicides out of all the states in America . . .

Once you've encountered one of these people, you tend to spot them readily as the characteristics of the disorder are quite striking. A.W. is classic.
Funny, I am pretty sure our Homicide unit has a good idea of who the suspects are in all these cases. They are not stupid. The problem lies in the fact they can't get anyone to testify, or show up as a witness to help pin the case on the suspects. So unless Alonzo personally witnessed these homicides, or has coerced the witnesses to actually TESTIFY in a court of law for the prosecution of these suspects, then there is absolutely no point in him bringing this information forward. It's information the PD probably has already. I'm pretty sure I know who did the homicide at 39th and Broadway, but I can't prove it any more than Alonzo can.

AND another thing is this useless TIPS hotline bs - you have to have the thing solved and give them the perps SSN. It's not "tips" they want it's the whole case wrapped up in a neat little package so they don't have to get off their asses. When someone does call in to the tips line they are some rude SOB or in one case bioches!
