  1. Are they going to lock up all the black people?

  2. They arrested a bunch of those people for nothing but city warrants. Good use of resources.

  4. The fundamental issue with this operation is that if these people were already wanted on warrants why were they left free on the streets pending PRESS day. I mean are these folks dangerous or not? The other problem is we don't get much in terms of truth or facts because local media doesn't seem to think they need to inform the public of such. Now, we know that 3 people were wanted for murder (why they had not already been arrested is just incredible). We know there was a quantity of drugs. Are the drugs tied to just one person?, More? Who? How many people were picked up on parole and probation violations, what were the violations, and again, why were they not previously picked up if these folks are such a nemeses? It's all nice and good that police are (assumption) picking up criminals, but why let them roam the streets until the maximum publicity can be gained from the media. Why has the media just accepted the information they got and not actually looked into the facts? Did we really stop anything bad or did we just use a few low-lifes to shore up the chief's job? Maybe the press in this town could quit handing each other awards long enough to actually do some decent journalism work.

  5. 9:30 The answer to your question is the KCPD gave up on fighting crime years ago and the KC Star has never been anything but a cheerleader for the status quo.

  6. I saw where even Reverend Jess Jackson (Sr.) himself has suggested that troops patrol the streets of Chicago. It would not hurt here either.

  7. They just need to change the gun laws in Chicago to fix thier crime rates. No guns in civilians hands, means no accountability for the criminals. Hence you don't see armed robberies happening north of the river, because the thugs know they will get shot to death if they try.
