MO HOUSE REP. BRANDON ELLINGTON: "LET'S HOPE THEY KEEP THEIR PROMISES" FOLLOWING ANTI-VIOLENCE FORUM!!!
After an IMPRESSIVE SHOWING during a weekend forum where Kansas City residents had the rare opportunity to speak out regarding local violence and murder . . . Here's the latest message that hopes to work toward solutions:
FROM MO HOUSE REP. BRANDON ELLINGTON FOLLOWING HIS "COMMUNITY FORUM AIMED AT COMBATING MURDERS AND THE SYSTEMIC CAUSES OF VIOLENCE"
Now that we've heard the promises made by our local government and state officials, let's hope that they keep their promises or "WE THE PEOPLE" will have to show them the power of the people!
I'll start working on some solutions to the concerns that I heard at the forum and we'll have a follow up forum shortly. The next forum will deal strictly with solutions and resources.

Here's the real "scoop": Rep. Brandon Ellington - WIN. Sly/Forte et al - FAIL. They didn't even bother to rsvp for the forum. NOTE: they were not on the press release. HOWEVER: they had such a light turnout for their budget dog and pony show that no one believes makes a damn bit of difference AND then they got wind of HUNDREDS of black and white people AND a bunch of CAMERAS and NEWSIES and hot footed it on over to the forum. And Sly planted his ass on the stage after not even bother to rsvp. Then after he got his photo op he hot footed it out of the place 'cause he hadn't even intended to be there. FAIL! THE PEOPLE aren't fooled and we're calling you out! You'll know who we are and you can make us out to be a bunch of crazies but we're going to show you that we're "just" the people who you "really" are supposed to "represent" not just your donors, family and friends. We're waking up and the beast is pissed!

ReplyDeleteEllington, is the real deal. This is the 1st forum that I have attended that residents from the south to northlanders were present. Ellington,stood the whole 3 1/2 hrs. ,people were wrapped around the room standing in line to speak to officials and the officials quitely left the room not listening to them. The forum was to end at 4:00pm,but didn't let out until 5:30 or close to 6pm and the room was still filled. Say what you want about most politicians but Ellington, is a remarkable caring young man that has proven he is dedicated to serving Missour.i The mixture of ages,cultures & races that support him says it all. I will be working to bring this forum to us on the eastern border.
