Jackson County Sports Authority Nominees

Just as AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS predicted . . . There was certainly a Latino flair to the latest nominees . . .

County puts up three names for Sports Authority

Democrats put forward . . . "Aimee Gromowsky, a Kansas City attorney; Teresa Chu, a real estate contractor and attorney; Ana Valdez, director of operations – Corporate Academy at Truman Medical Centers; and Chris Medina, CEO of Guadalupe Centers on the west side of Kansas City."

Mr. Medina didn't make the final cut but consideration of this County's two fastest growing ethnic groups is something new @ the Courthouse.

  1. If they had appointed Medina they might has well dug up Johnny Lazia and appointed that thug. A dead thug would do less damage than a live thug.

  2. Thank God that Theresa Garza Ruiz broke with Chris Medina and put of Ms. Valdez for this appointment. We are so proud of you Theresa for putting ethics ahead of loyalty to a man who has grown rich living off of political handouts!

  3. It really is great to see Theresa back on her game, fighting the old boys again. I am sure that Sanders would rather see Medina in that job.

  4. And their pay is use of suites at Arrowhead and the K every game?

  5. I fear bad things will happen to Ana2/20/13, 8:32 AM

Chris Medina is the leader of an organized crime family.

I hope he does not do harm to Ana Valdez in retribution for pushing him out of this plum job.

  6. One of the candidates is Albert Reiderer's Daughter. He was a great man.

Go Theresa! Clean government means no Chris Medina, no time, no way.

Ana Valdez is an excellent choice and once again Theresa Garza Ruiz proves she is the true reformer in Jackson County government.

  9. LOL, I see Theresa is posting again.

  10. Does anyone really believe there are honest ethical people involved in Jackson County politics? If you do then your definition of integrity is a lot different than mine.

  11. The pay is only $3,000 for what seems like a full time job?

What am I missing here? Why would anyone agree to do this?

  12. It will still be Chris Medina. Ana will resign from consideration because of a soon to be publicized scandal. Nixon OWES Medina and he knows it. Do not fuck this up Jay.

  13. No there will not be a scandal. There is no way that Theresa did not do her homework on this appointment. That is just Mike Sanders pandering to the Medina Crime Family @ 2:05.

  14. Too bad Scrooge isn't on the list.

    Kiss your tax dollars goodbye.

  15. Jay Nixon does not have the nerve to stand up against Paul LeVota and Chris Moreno for patronage decisions in Jackson County, which means Ana will be moved off the list and Chris Medina will be moved into the appointment. If Ana does not go on her own Moreno will not have a qualm about ruining her reputation.

  16. Looks like Theresa fucked up and put a tax cheat's name on the list.
