Former Kansas City Boy Scout Abuse Story

KCTV5 produces this profile of one story inspired by the "perversion files" and recent outcry against abuse: For the first time, a Kansas City area man reveals his story of sexual abuse at the hands of a Boy Scout volunteer 30 years ago.

  1. Isn't this a fine reason for the Scouts to now allow gays to join??? Sure it is..

  2. Big problem with this story. The guy claims it happened at Camp Naish when he was 9 years old.

You don't become a Boy Scout until you are 11, and at 9, he would have been at most a Bear rank Cub Scout, and not eligible to go to camp.

  3. It doesn't matter if he was in the Scouts or not. The BSA will cut him a check to shut him up. That's what the Catholic Church has done for centuries.

  4. Well, that's a big problem. The real, true victims (and there are thousands) have to divide the settlements with everyone who can tell a story, no matter how preposterous.

  6. I'm 61 years old and I was in the Boy Scouts. To this day, I can tell you who all of the adults were who supervised us, in any capacity.
I call "bullshit" on this guys' story.
By the way, I was not molested.

  7. Agreed, 11:50. The guy says his father "went to great lengths" but apparently he didn't go to the cops?

After his son had been sexually assaulted?

Doesn't pass the stink test does it.

Well, it used to be that you could accuse anybody of sexual abuse as long as they were a priest. Now we can freely accuse "Boy Scout volunteer" and we don't even need to know their name.
