FIGLIO'S CURRENT PLAZA LOCATION FAILS!!!

Lots of memories on this one . . . Not just crappy school dance dinners but Figlio's was the first place to ever fire a very young TKC for being a horrible waiter.

Nevertheless . . .

LONGTIME PLAZA FAVORITE FIGLIO'S IS CLOSED AND THE SMART MONEY SAYS THEY'RE NOT COMING BACK!!!

And so curfews put forth by Mayor Sly and Council can't save Plaza biz from ongoing flash mobs and the never-ending Great Recession.

Developing . . .

  2. No surprise...one of the worst meals I've had in Kansas City. The service was awful. Never went back.

  4. The NIGGERS have killed another business on the Plaza. I'd say the Plaza's days are numbered, much like the Bannister Mall was...AND for the same reason.

  5. Actually, 6:55, it was Haddad Restaurant Group that killed Figlio's. They drive everything they own into the ground. Putcsh's, Annie's Santa Fe, Waid's, Fred P. Ott's, just to name a few. They also own Winstead's, which is struggling.

  6. I was fired from figlio myself some time back. The reason they are closing is not because of the urban youth but because of the Haddad group. They never took the time to invest in the place and re-do the interior. The location is great and the dining room has beautiful windows and views of the fountain. Hopefully something more hip will go in there.

p.s. the people that say the urban youth are destroying the plaza must not come down here very often, if at all.

  7. It's the economy stupid! Never occurs to anyone people just don't have the disposable income they had during the great credit bubble?

  8. Even if the economy fully rebounds, it is so hard for independent restaurants. Capital Grille can use one graphic designer to serve the entire chain. Applebee's can place an ad locally that serves many restaurants across the metro for the same price as an ad that would only serve one Figlio's.

  9. Probably because the TOY TRAIN broke Figlio's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Boondoggle, boondoggle, boondoggle boondoggle, black people fear FEARFEARFEAR (suburbs rule)

  11. A Valentine for Doran Cart from A Squirt Dot Com Member2/8/13, 10:55 AM

That is the place that the National World War I Museum Curator Doran Cart wanted to meet me before he wanted to take me to a hotel for "sexy time." He was so romantic the way she said he wanted to make me gag and gasp for air with his cock. He told me that he could not understand why his wife did not Cynthia Cart of the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art did not have sex with him. He told me he liked bringing women to Figlio's becouse no one was there to see him with another woman without his wife, so meeting a guy there would not be a problem. I guess I made a big mistake by standing him up. I guess just being scared of the sick fuck ruined my chance for a good meal.

  12. Yeah, after Haddad bought Figlio's hey tried to rip-off the concept with their own Italian restaurant called "Cilio's" or something like. A flippin' disaster. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of people.

I know Cindy Cart from the art museum. Why would she put up with this? She could catch something terrible.

  14. Good news is if you can't cut as a waiter ...you can't cut it as a blogger either...
