KC Biz Journal and this town losing steam as a financial center: "After more than 150 years of open outcry trading at the Kansas City Board of Trade, the process will transition to the CME Group trading floor in Chicago on July 1. CME Group acquired the Kansas City Board of Trade in December for $126 million . . . Pit trading to end June 28 at the Kansas City Board of Trade"
