In a reasoned and thoughtful missive, Kansas City Star columnist Dave Helling urges a focus on improving test scores over impending takeover legislation that could soon impact the KCPS. But nobody really wants to hear that argument and trusting the KCPS to make good on promises is mostly an exercise in futility.
