TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY NEEDS $900K IN SHAMEFUL TOY TRAIN "EMERGENCY" ORDINANCE!!!
More than anything, given their legislative agenda and the work they have actually put down on paper, the agenda of Mayor Sly and City Council has been completely focused on the silly Kansas City Toy Train Streetcar.
Here's the latest example . . .
Ordinance #130026 - Appropriating $900,000.00 from the Unappropriated Fund Balance of the Public Mass Transportation Fund; designating requisition authority; and recognizing an emergency.
And while Mayor Sly now seems obsessed with his Toy Train streetcar, let's remember that transit wasn't a significant part of campaign agenda and current Toy Train configuration doesn't come anywhere close to his "roots" on Montgall . . .

DON'T FORGET THAT THESE EMERGENCY TRANSIT MOVES FROM MAYOR AND COUNCIL ALLOW THEM TO BYPASS A GREAT MANY CITY HALL RULES AND REGS FOR FUNDING!!!
So, even when they win their rigged votes, Mayor and Council are completely focused on looting from City Hall coffers in order to build a useless streetcar line that serves mostly as a tribute to their own egos.

This 900K is going to TranSystems to do the microsimulation model, which will look at all modes of traffic and will be able to approximate where traffic congestion will occur in the future. it will look at daily traffic issues and special events.
