Once again the subject of Lance Armstrong cheating is on blast in the mainstream media.

The prospect of a confession which may or may not be coming soon was speculated upon by mainstream media:

And all of this hot mess reminds us . . .

THE "LIVESTRONG" NAME SHOULD BE STRIPPED FROM THE KANSAS CITY, KANSAS SPORTING PARK IF THE UNIFIED GOVERNMENT WANTS TO MAINTAIN ANY SEMBLANCE OF INTEGRITY!!!

The Livestrong name adoring a the stadium supported by taxpayers is nothing more than a marketing deal that has been justified by so many other PR shills who don't care about the message of hypocrisy the name sends to taxpayers, children and patrons.

Also, the media spin is shameful and really just reminds us that money is more important than integrity throughout the Kansas City area.

Let's do some myth-busting that Kansas City area mainstream media won't do . . .

Yes, Armstrong cut "formal ties" with the organization a few months ago as he was about to be stripped of his honors.

However . . .

BY FAR, ARMSTRONG IS THE LARGEST SUPPORTER OF THE ORGANIZATION AND STILL HOLDS A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH THE GROUP!!! AND THE NAME OF THE CHARITY IS BASED ON ARMSTRONG'S TARNISHED NAME!!!

Buried in a report from Reuters, there's proof of this statement . . .

On October 30, foundation spokeswoman Katherine McLane said "It's a house that he built," regarding the Livestrong Foundation.

More: "Armstrong, who is the largest donor to Livestrong, having contributed $7 million, is still welcome at the foundation, officials said."

That's just the money Armstrong has given personally, other sources note that Mr. Armstrong has helped to raise close to $500 million for the group.

But money and might don't make blood doping and cheating allegations right.

KANSAS CITY, KANSAS TAXPAYERS DON'T NEED A BRANDING PARTNERSHIP WITH A DISGRACED ATHLETE AND A LEGACY OF CHEATING!!!

There are a lot of other cancer fighting groups that do a lot of good. A partnership with them would be much more appropriate.

But let's be real . . . Support for the KCK Livestrong marketing partnership isn't about supporting an anti-cancer org, it's nothing but media patronage which tacitly acknowledges that KCK and the Unified Government were outmaneuvered by this organization and changing course would cost too much.

It's not about cancer support, it's about saving face.

Perspective: Michael Vick has donated generously to charity following his dog fighting ruckus but nobody is going to name a dog shelter after him. In much the same, this field of competition in KCK should not bear the name of an organization that is the namesake of a cheating legacy.

Still support of the Livestrong name is about expediency and Kansas City political patronage to the people who made the lousy deal and not cancer support . . .

And that's really a message that's unacceptable and dangerous.

The local government of KCK would rather ignore reality and engage in political spin than admit that they are part of an effort to clean up the image of a shamed athlete.

Marketing deals, money and political capital have conspired to make KCK taxpayers complicit in a deal that seems to tell the public that cheating and allegations of blood doping are no big deal.

THE LIVESTRONG NAME REPRESENTS SOMETHING SHAMEFUL AND TKC DEMANDS THAT THE TAG IS STRIPPED FROM THE STADIUM IMMEDIATELY!!!
