ReplyDeleteOn a lighter note, I hear the female officer who assaulted the Highway Patrol is getting her job back then a medical retirement. Clay county dripped the assault charges for a guilty plea. Wonder why clay county is starting to look like Jackson county.

ReplyDeleteNot sure why this is newsworthy. The promotion of minorities to upper levels in the kcpd is old news. For years now it has been a steady flow of blacks and females through those positions. Pretty common now to have a majority of minorities in high levels managing a force that is still primarily made up of white dudes. To quote the zzzzzzz guy, "zzzzzzzzzzzz".

Randy Hopkins is a decent guy. In fact he is a really good guy. He doesn't operate or make his decisions based on race. He has long been known for being extremely fair in handing down discipline. In terms of his qualifications, he has spent most of his career working in investigations, and has a Master of Arts from the United States Naval Academy's Post-Graduate School.

DeleteHe is a decent guy and a pretty good pick but don't make too big of a deal about this graduate degree. It sounds impressive but he got his degree online. It might as well have been from the University of Phoenix.
DeleteHow about the lesbian chick who was just promoted to sergeant in Metro? She was going through termination proceedings because she was engauging in criminal activity and suddenly Colonel Rose, who is another lesbian, suddenly swept the whole thing under the rug and not only was she not fired but she was actually given her choice of a transfer spot and later promoted. No one respects her and we all know the reason she is where she is.
