KANSAS DEMOCRATIC PARTY AGAINST GOV. SAM BROWNBACK BY THE NUMBERS!!!

Take a good look at Kansas Democratic Opposition to Kansas Gov. Brownback using some rather informative economic numbers . . . To fact Check a recent speech by Gov. Brownback that was mostly focused on incentives and tax cuts for the rich.

From The Kansas Democratic Newswire Tumblr . . .

Governor Brownback is doing his damnedest to make Kansas more like Texas: more regressive, worse schools, more poverty, and less worker protections. You can find some disturbing facts about the state of Texas below:

- 27% of Texas children live in poverty, ranking Texas 42nd nationally.

- 18.5% of all Texans live below the poverty line, good for 40th nationally.

- 24% of Texas’s population is uninsured, the highest rate in the nation.

- Texas also leads the nation in uninsured children with 17% of Texas children having no insurance. In Kansas, only 8% of children are uninsured.

- 9.5% of TX workers make minimum wage and receive no medical benefits, making Texas the state with the most workers at earning minimum wage.

- 28% of Texas 4th graders read at or above a proficient level 39th nationally. In contrast, 36% of Kansas 4th graders read proficiently or better, good for 12th best nationally.

- Texas has the 7th most regressive tax system, taking over 12% of the bottom 20% income while only receiving 3% of the wealthiest 1% income.

Yeah, like the whole three Democrats in the Kansas House and Senate are going to have a big impact. Get real, folks! Kansas is a Republican dictatorship. If you don't like it then just suck it up or move.
And by the way, these Republicans are going to ruin this State. But they don't care. They have Jesus on their side. And they will also have all of the money.

Thats why the rich bastards move to Leawood and Overland Park you dunces.

And it ain't about Jesus. A lot of them are atheists who believe n survival of the fittest.

I know, I work over there.

I guess it is a matter of what statistics one wants to look at and how they are broken down. For instance the reading level, how many of those people actually speak english? Seems like a very fare question to ask. I did notice 2 stats that were left out, because they do no prove your point: 6.1% unemployment. And in 1 year state went from 27.8 B deficit to a 8.8 Billion surplus. Seems like they are doing things right!

Well, that ought to make some wealthy democrats happy. Think about it. And some repub's, too.

I'm a liberal but you can't just throw out statistics like that without taking into account Texas' large Hispanic community. Brownback is a piece of work, though.

What a bunch of dweebs! Kansas = Small, landlocked, flat, ugly, brown.
Texas = Large, beaches, beautiful, hill country, green and EMPLOYED!

Fuck you Kansas, you fly over state.....

And most of the PUSSY ! PUSSY seems to follow mpney.

Kansas is about 3 times more beautiful than Texas. Texas is a hellish wasteland of swamps and deserts. Kansas is fertile, lush green, and gorgeous.

Texas boom cycle is built 3 things:
1. Oil/energy

2. cheap illegal labor

3. piss poor state services

Remove any legal of that triangle and the pyramid scheme collapses. IT is worth noting that the "Texas model" has failed everywhere else it is employed, states like Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Georgia, etc. All failed economies. The south is becoming a third world country (again) and the right wing can't wait to replicate that in the midwest.

Funny how Mexican culture has provided the only interesting or good thing to ever come from Texas: Tex-Mex food.

White Texan "culture" is disgusting.

LOL @ Texas is "greener" than Kansas. Hahaha, Texans are retarded, and anytime one of them talks you can tell they aren't very well-traveled. Any group of people who think an overgrown college town like Austin is "weird" and "unique" are a special breed of dumbass.

Bleating, sore-loser liberal hogwash.

Texas has NO state income tax and Kansas? Texas is a state of mind and Kansas simply a pimple on the prick of progress. Yeah right, go Kansas!

Anonymous said...

Oh yeah, I forgot. Kansas has Bob Fucking Dole to be proud of! HAHAHAHAH

Texas is a state of mind.

LOL the state of mind is fat, ignorant and 100% reliant on illegal Mexican labor to live.

Texas is a third world country, and Texans might be the worst thing about America.

No one on earth likes Texas except people born there. What a horrible cultural wasteland.

There is not a single place in Texas with half the culture, coolness and quality of life that KCMO has.

Lenexa? Maybe. KCMO, not even fucking competitive.

Yes Texas is large...and that's it.

The beaches: ugly, polluted, filled with lardy fake cowboy Texans and their cellulite filled, big-haired women.

Hill country: not as hilly as Kansas, scrub brush and red cedar infested dustbowl.

Beautiful: only a Texan would say something that ignorant.

Green: east Texas is green, from the sludge of houston in a little strip of ugly piney woods right up the Louisiana border. That's about 10% of the state. East Kansas is greener, more forested, has hardwoods and is a bigger percentage of the state.

Employed: below living wage, also uneducated, poverty stricken, with no health care, services or social contract. That's not just the Texas model, its also how they do it in Mexico, India, China, Indonesia, and all those other utopias.

11:50, you are, no doubt, a likely fat slob, from middle America, with no concept of life beyond a barbeque or a fucking NIGGER. The only reason Texas doesn't fall into the gulf is that Oklahoma AND Kansas SUCK! You may keep your little, crime infested slice of heaven call Kansas City...For the rest of the world, it (KC) is a bad fucking joke! So's your sport teams (?) and your politics..

During my 45 year career I have lived in more than a dozen major U.S. cities from east to west and north to south. Having dealt officials from the Federal level on down to the Municipal level for many years, I have seen the slide downward for decades.

Those of you who believe that KC and "The Heartland" are culturally rich and/or sophisticated are delusional, or woefully inexperienced and myopic. KC's highest level of culture has become its culture of corruption. What once had made KC a beautiful and vibrant place has long since been destroyed.

KC is on the fast track to destruction from within like so many other cities that have already reached, or passed, the point of no return. Detroit is one example of the future of KC and its "culture". Philadephia is headed there. St. Louis is near its point of no return. Chicago will reach a point of insolvency, chaos, and implosion within the next 4 to 6 years. Many more will follow, as they are being raped and pillaged from within, by the very people entrusted to manage them. The culture of corruption has infected every level.

I love listening to Kansans versus Kansans of the South (also known as Texans), arguing over whose state is shittier. Guys, the answer is that both of your states are shitholes filled with shitheads. Get over yourselves.

12:26 said it eloquently and factually. Kansas City is a fucking cesspool that a small yield nuclear device would only improve. Kansas City and it's citizens are fucking losers...
