It's a shame that a Kansas City mascot is more accountable for his actions than most elected officials, pro-sports team owners and local athletes . . .
Pitch: Sluggerrr, Kansas City Royals going back to court over hot-dog toss mishap
AP: Mo. court reinstates suit against Royals mascot
KMBC: Sluggerrr, the Kansas City Royals mascot, is going back to court.
The litigant "alleges he suffered a detached retina and other injuries when he was hit by a hot dog Sluggerrr threw into the stands during a Royals game in 2009."
On the bright side, at least there's one instance where I can root for the home team.
No baloney.....if you're going to chuck your meat around playing the ham, you can't chicken out when the toss is a turkey. Sluggerrr pay the claim!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the guy should have been paying attention. He should be glad it wasn't a hit ball.
ReplyDeleteLet's outlaw hotdogs along with guns!
ReplyDeleteI was there two rows behind this guy. Slugger was done with his promotion. The announcer directed everyone to look at the new state of the art score board for the next distraction between innings for bad baseball on the field. Slugger throws his last hotdog behind his back to be cute. It bounced off three people bruised, soggy, and uneatable. Pretty much like the last 2 decades at the ballpark.
