PROTEST @ THE IHOP CONVENTION
Kansas City, Mo. (December 30, 2012) EQUAL will be hosting a “die-in” at 13th and Central outside of the Kansas City Convention Center at 8:00 p.m. on December 30th during the IHOP OneThing Conference to protest Lou Engle, Mike Bickle, IHOP, Desert Stream Ministries, and TheCall’s hateful hometown ministry and their use of “ex-gay reparative therapy” in an attempt to change the sexual orientation of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people.
Ex-gay therapy is given to try to change the sexual orientation of those subjected to it. All respected mental health professionals have discredited ex-gay therapy. Even Exodus International, the leading ministry in ex-gay therapy recently stated that ex-gay therapy does not work. It is time that IHOP stops this archaic and harmful practice.
Chris Haywood, a survivor of ex-gay therapy, EQUAL member, and student in Kansas City says, “The therapy effectively teaches you to hate yourself. It instills a self-loathing but does not actually change your sexual orientation. I struggled with suicidal thoughts after being subjected to ex-gay therapy.”
EQUAL will be holding this demonstration to ask the young IHOP conference attendants to learn more about what IHOP really stands for and to ask them to put a stop to the hateful ministry of these Kansas City-based preachers.

It's spiritual fast food when the hearts and minds of pacifism turns to pink slime while their ministers promote a hit list against gays in Uganda creating IHOP's chief export which is murder and plausible deniability

Ok so first of all Ihop has nothing to do with international house of pancakes. its just an acronym. second of all, the uganda law does not give gays the death penalty, its gives the death penalty to men who have sex with minors, because uganda has the most orphans in the world and there are men that are taking advantage of young boys and teenagers for sexual purposes. The death penalty is always wrong, and Lou engle is against the death penalty for everything. This whole thing is being spun.
