CELEBRATE!!! JACKSON COUNTY EXECUTIVE MIKE SANDERS SOON TO ANNOUNCE KANSAS CITY VAPORWARE TRANSIT PLAN!!!
Kudos to Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders for consistently taking his cues from tried and true tech industry tactics.
Example:
"Vaporware is a term in the computer industry that describes a product, typically computer hardware or software, that is announced to the general public but is never actually released nor officially cancelled."
Keep that term in mind when it comes to this presser lovingly reprinted by Dead Tree Media . . .
"Now that downtown Kansas City is getting a streetcar line, Jackson County Executive Mike Sanders is ready to double down his political career on a more ambitious $650 million collection of rails, trails and buses."
Behind the scenes . . .
EVERYBODY IN KANSAS CITY POLITICS KNOWS THAT THE COUNTY EXECUTIVE DOESN'T HAVE THE VOTES TO PASS ANY TRANSIT MEASURE BUT HE LOVES GETTING HEADLINES FOR GOOD INTENTIONS!!!
This "reporting" isn't really news . . . More like tribute to a shrewd politico who has ruled over local government that has provided a place to more than a few former Kansas City newsies and their family members.
On the bright side, we respect The County Executive for his success at earning nice headlines without spending hundreds of millions for a silly toy train.
DEVELOPING . . . But not really.
Sanders should follow what should have been Sly's number one plan for 2013
ReplyDeleteWhat a smoke and mirrors article he should win an award for his manipulation of the Star. You go boy.
ReplyDeleteJust what we need another tax
ReplyDeleteThere was never a tax a democrat didn't like!!
ReplyDeleteWhat next for Sanders?
The Senate?
The Presidency eventually?

Sly couldn't get federal transit money for a short rail train, but I am sure Super Mike can.
ReplyDeleteSanders should put the Star on his campaign as a paid consultant.
ReplyDeleteThe man is a waste of air and water.
ReplyDeleteWho wants a transit plan in Eastern Jack besides Mike, now is not the time no more taxes.
ReplyDeleteOur local Rod Blagojevich is running scared. He has NO place to go. He can't run state wide. He can't run for a congressional seat. He won't get an easy appointment. He still doesn't have the votes to axe Jim "the dick" Rowland from Sports Authority. He can't bully sitting Sports Authority Commissioners. He makes up stories about his so called political influence. He is forced to play nice with Tindall.
ReplyDeleteMike Sanders is a jerk.
When will he be caught on his knees in at rest stop bathroom?
ReplyDeleteBREAKING NEWS:
ReplyDeleteJoCo and Norhtland anony internet trolls fear JaxCo transit because they see the writing on the wall for their 1980's culdesac utopias.
If Sanders puts transit on the ballot this August will you admit for once you are clueless?

ReplyDeleteputting his mish mash plan to a vote is the easy part. getting it passed? ripe for another Sanders' failure. this ain't pee wee baseball were mom calls out "good try Skippy! you'll get it next time!"
ReplyDeleteIs there ANYTHING quite as boring, as any kind of information or story involving Mike Sanders??? What a fat-assed jerk, just living off you dumb fuck voters...Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBlagojevich had MUCH better hair than Sanders.
