KC NoVA moving forward, set to make big impact on violent crime in 2013
Read the entire post but here's are the basics on how the program will work from The Chief:
"Here at KCPD, I have assigned a captain to oversee the project, as well as a sergeant and two detectives. But the whole department will be participating in gathering intelligence and identifying the worst perpetrators of crime in our city. The KC NoVA team is collocated with prosecutors in the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, and they are working with a research team at the University of Missouri Kansas City to analyze and diagram the city’s criminal networks, targeting the most central figures for swift and certain prosecution."
As far as this year goes there's a slight decrease in the KANSAS CITY'S TRIPLE DIGIT MURDER COUNT but shootings have increased along with other violent and property crime.
We hope for a more peaceful new year and realize that support for the KCPD and their rank and file is a big part of making that happen.

ReplyDeleteChump Forte is so busy trying to be some social media celebrity that he's negliglecting his responsibilities to his troops, the public, and this city. I would rather he tackle violent crime than twitter & Facebook. At this point he's a lame duck. His troops won't invest themselves into his plans because he's shit all over them & the citizens aren't believers because he hasn't reduced violent crime as promised, but he'll tweet all day about himself & his so called accomplishments! What a fucking mope.

Accomplish the task – retain the huge raise he got earlier this year.

Crime stats are mixed right now: We are at 102 homicides for 2012; which is lower than for 2011 at this time (108)--but higher than for 2010 (100 at this time.) Remember, 2010 was the last calender year before Sly James took office--so crime is apparently going up since he took office. The mayor needs to put more emphasis on fighting crime--the toy train can wait!! Sincerely and Respectfully, ernest Evans
