Boyfriend Mourns His Girlfriend’s Death After Dental Surgery

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City man says his girlfriend went to Truman Medical Center to get some teeth pulled and died in her car before she even left the nearby parking garage where she had parked.
Amy Moore, 41, went in for the procedure October 23rd at about 8:00 a.m.
Dennis Shepherd says he heard from her at about 10:30 a.m., when she called him to say she was about to leave.
When she didn’t come home, he became worried and called the garage security, he said.
On October 24th he filed a missing person’s report.
Finally, late on the night of October 25th, Shepherd, whose leg is amputated, climbed into his car and drove to the hospital, where he found her bright yellow car. Amy was dead inside.
“I could smell a decomposing body when I pulled up to it and the windows were rolled up,” Shepherd said.
Police say there were no signs of foul play. Truman Medical Center released a statement that said Amy Moor told staff she had a ride home. The hospital says it is conducting a thorough investigation.
