I won't go so far as to call this one "girl power" but I don't think it's out of line to say that Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker is far more open about her political involvement than her predecessors.

Why is there no mention of her outstanding work as the Jackson County Prosecutor, and only personal attacks based upon her politics? If there's any legitimate criticism of her job performance, I'd like to hear it.

ReplyDeleteI had the opportunity to serve with Jean Peters Baker in the Missouri House of Representatives. Even though I was a Republican and Jean was a Democrat, she built a reputation in the Legislature as being an ethical, honest person that always wanted good things for our State. Many times when speaking on the House Floor she would ask “Is this a jobs bill?” because of her driving passion to promote economic development. Even though we worked on opposite sides of the aisle I learned to respect & admire Jean’s compassion and extensive knowledge of Legislative issues. I wish her the best.
ReplyDeleteThey may have all been good men, but all were incompetent. The Prosecutors office is not a plant. Or a factory. Its a legal office and incompetent lawyers get fired under competent prosecutors. No threats from Local 42 will change that.
