KANSAS CITY'S DESPICABLE UNION STATION TAX CREDIT DOUBLE DOWN!!!

Another Kansas City giveaway is coming up for unquestioning approval by our Mayor and City Council.

Take a look:

Union Station's board of directors says the 98-year-old landmark has turned the corner financially and it's time for some improvements. The city council votes today on endorsing $5 million in tax breaks to help make that happen.

FOR YEARS Union Station attempted to claim financial stability and they even tried to claim the were in the black . . . But the reality is simple:

UNION STATION IS A TAXPAYER SUPPORTED TOMB THAT'S NEVER DELIVERED ON PROMISES AND CONSISTENTLY NEEDS A NEARLY ENDLESS SUPPLY OF CASH!!!

Prove me wrong.

When was the last time you visited Science City?

Sadly, under the tenure of Mayor Sly and the current City Council there won't be very many questions about the future of a building that has turned out to be little more than taxpayer supported office space for this town's ruling class.

  1. Betting against tax breaks being issued by the KCMO council would be like thinking the sun will be coming up in the west tomorrow morning.
If there's one thing this gang does well, it's giving the public's money away.
    Especially to swells.
    KaChing!

  2. Kick Science City out in the street, no one will notice. Use the venerable transportation hub for transportation!

As for your stupid-hatred of the landmark Tony, shut the fuck up.

  3. Union Station Casino. There is no shortage of people who like to throw their money away.

  5. Again the single people of Kansas City spending their money so that someone else's kids get Science City. Let a casino operation turn it over and do the roaring 20s theme and let the city get their lazy asses back into city hall to straighten out the municipal mess created by politicians and the pork assed fat pet projects.

Another 501-3c run by Chamber ass clown George Guastello, aka Grand Pubah. Pubah ruined the American Royal, now he wants to bleed the taxpayers so the Chamber of Commerce has a patio to have cocktails and plan on how to elect more Todd Akin types. Yes, Pubah Guastello was a Chamber butt boy before Starlight, American Royal, no interview in Lawerence for CC job, but after some butt kissing Haggerty gave him the Union Station gig. Since then they taxpayers are getting drilled every year. If they are profitable why do they need taxpayer money. THis is a rip off of grand style. Somebody get to the bottom of this. Do a expose of Guastello. You will find him to be a first class douche bag.

OK you bring up a good question. If not this continued effort to support and make viable a treasued part of our uban fabric, what would you prefer to happen to Union Station Tony?

Really, I dare you to respond to this...show you have the guts to be a thought leader instead of a sniveling cowardly sideline complainer...come on dude, buck up Botello.

Would you prefer it be torn down and turned in to another surface parking lot? Do you really think that would help our city in any way? Or do you have a better idea for it? Well, do you?

If not, shame on you Botello...more hot air with no ideas or substance...again.

Proud KC .....how about a Casino... that is the only thing that will work there. It has been suggested by some of the city elite but the Chamber shoots it down. Guastello could not work at a casino because they are for profit and Guastello only knows how to bleed taxpayers from behind the curtains of 501-3c's. So before you run your yap at Tony and start with the Botello bs.....know what the duck your talking about. Union Station is just a drain on the taxpayer....nothing more. Science City....hell...bulldoze it and turn it into a gay parking area. Guastello could wear his Princess Di knock off gown there! Botello that Proud KC !

  11. Meanwhile, suburbanites, both states and in fact, all US taxpayers subsidize 3rd rate retail in another vintage 1990s strip mall and no one cries foul...
