Just a bit of propaganda for the afternoon.
The economic impact of this year's All-Star Game in Kansas City came in pretty much as expected, just shy of $60 million.
Now . . . What it really did was drain community resources and create the incorrect assumption that this is a major leauge pro sports town.
More later . . .
So we will all be getting a check in the mail for exactly how much?
ReplyDeleteObviously you do not understand how this works. The $60 million impact means we all get a bill in the mail. A check? Seriously?

DeleteAt least Sly drank the good scotch!
ReplyDeleteHow much sales tax is KC paying for 25 years. KC is donating $2 million per for 25 years so their is $50 million. KC loses.
ReplyDeleteI call bull sheet.
ReplyDeleteLet's see, the toy train is going to cost $101m so if Sly contributes this $60m toward it, it will only cost $41m. Now we're talking.
ReplyDeleteLies.
ReplyDeleteEconomic impact... I love it when politicians and policy wonks talk about shit that they haven't a clue about. The big winner was Signature Flight Services. They sold some jet fuel.
ReplyDeleteAirport services, hotels and restuarants owned by out-of-town corporations, and major TV networks.
ReplyDeleteBut KCMO got all the "prestige".
Try to spend THAT!
Well I mean come on are they going to sit there and say oops we lost our asses on this event.
ReplyDelete60 million came in. 80 million went out. Sly can't govern. Kyle can't rap. Aja can't find a good white man and Mrs. Sly is still down periscope. I think she was counseling Osama bin Laden on how to hide.
