TODD AKIN PUNK ROCK APOLOGY!!!

At the outset of the campaign for Missouri Senate Todd Akin was forced to apologize for comments regarding "legitimate rape" and to this day controversy still surrounds his words.

However, today he's visiting the Kansas City area and in order to get hyped up . . . We want to thank a group of moviemakers for creating a rather unique cover.

They call it:

Todd Akin PUNK'D

I'm no political scientist but I think this apology track would have been just as well received as Mr. Akin's offering . . . And he can still use it for his next mistake that's certainly coming soon.

If you want to post something negative on Akin, surely you can find something with at least a minimal level of intelligence. That was pure trash.

That was absolutely horrible. I think this video only makes things worse; not better.

You know, I understand what Akin means by "legitimate rape." However, I don't know what to think about the female body shutting down to prevent conception during a "legitimate rape."

There are certain crimes that are reported as a matter of convenience and the crime of rape is one of these violations. This happens more often than people might think. A prime example is when a woman is caught in an incident of marital infidelity, when the marriage is already on the rocks. That woman may claim to have been raped (when both parties involved were totally willing and consenting) as a last ditch effort to salvage the failing marriage.

Another example is teen pregnancies. The little princess sure doesn't want mom and dad to know that she is sexually active and it's going to be hard to hide that fact that she's knocked up and showing after three months. So, the teen girl will create this story that she was raped at a party.

Finally, some women are just plain mean and vendictive. If a relationship doesn't go as planned and the possibility of hearing wedding bells is shattered, guess what! She's pissed and some poor guy is on her shit list! So, she was raped.

In short people, There of some violations in our criminal law system that are issues of convenience. It's a matter of when we want to report it. One of those violations, sadly enough, is rape. Another common violation is a violation of an order of protection. If Akin had used this and said that "in the case of a legitimate order of protection violation....." would he have caught so much flak. People will go and get these orders and after a short amount of time, the respondant in the order will be right back in the home of the petitioner. Then when the wheels fall off of the relationship wagon, the petitioner will cry foul and want the respondant arrested for violating the order. This is what I mean by an issue of convenience.

Don't get me wrong, I know that rapes do occur and it's a terrible crime. I'm just saying that I do understand where Akin was coming from with that comment.
