TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY DEMOCRATS HATE GOV. JAY NIXON BECAUSE HE'S CLEARLY UNWILLING TO HELP ANY CAMPAIGN BUT HIS OWN!!!

Gov. Jay Nixon isn't the leader of Democrats in Missouri, he's just the guy in charge.

To wit . . .

TKC TIPSTERS AND KANSAS CITY POLITICAL INSIDERS HAVE RECENTLY NOTED AN INCREASING IMPATIENCE WITH GOV. JAY NIXON AND THE WAY HE HAS DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM EVERY OTHER DEMOCRAT IN MISSOURI!!!

Wait, there's more . . .

IN FACT AMONG KANSAS CITY DEMOCRATS THERE IS OUTRIGHT REBELLION AND OUTRAGE WITH GOV. JAY NIXON BEHIND THE SCENES!!!

Furthermore . . .

KANSAS CITY DEMOCRAT INSIDERS NOTE THAT GOV. JAY HASN'T EVEN REFERRED TO PREZ OBAMA IN MORE THAN A YEAR OR IN ANY OF HIS RECENT SPEECHES!!!

Even Huff post identifies Gov. Jay distancing himself from Prez Obama.

Let's do the math and make it local . . . Shall we?

Have you ever seen Gov. Jay and Sen. Claire McCaskill in the same room in the past year?

Didn't think so.

No, they aren't the same person . . . Even though most upper-class white people all look alike to me. In fact, only Kaley Cuoco and her Esquire Mexico Hotness makes an impression or differentiation in my mind . . .

But I digress . . .

Will there be a Gov. Jay photo op with Congressman Cleaver???

Please don't hold your breath waiting for it.

And here's where things get really interesting . . .

Just last night a Kansas City Political Insider noted EXCLUSIVELY to TKC . . .

"Yeah, he's not helping anybody and he's anything but a leader of the party. (MO House Rep. and Secretary Of State Candidate) Kander is counting on him to help but I'm really doubtful that Gov. Jay will do anything for any campaign but his own. That has just been his M/O for the past four years. I can say this for a fact: In Kansas City there isn't any Democrat elected official seriously counting on support from the Governor."

Obviously . . . TKC hopes that Gov. Jay will attempt to prove us wrong or at least we can "inspire" him to help out the Kander campaign that all of Kansas City seems to support.

But, most other Kansas City Democrats aren't hopeful of seeing any of the so-called leadership that Gov. Jay is touting in his commercials.

DEVELOPING . . .

  2. Yes, I hate Jay Nixon but not because he's unwilling to help with anyone elses campaign, it's because of his appointments he's made over the years. My favorite political commercial is where his opponent states, "He went to the state fair and left Missouri jobs in the dust." That is epic!

  3. What are they going to do Tony? Vote for Spence?

    Didn't think so.

  4. It's actually no secret... the Democratic party has not been all that organized on the state level. It's just a weak organization; blame it on their leadership.

Nixon and McCaskill have probably both noticed that, and campaigned for themselves.

No help from the state level democratic leadership, which is usually nowhere to be found!

As for the Republicans? Are they any better?

I expect most candidates in all states find their state-level political leadership aren't well funded or therefore, flush with good leadership. After all, who is going to give state party leaders big money?

Today's big donors are after CONGRESSIONAL victories. IT's all about the votes in Congress, as we have learned after the 2010 capture of the House by the Republicans.

State and county officials are pretty much on their own. In both parties!

  5. Has Jay even been to KC this year? There's no reason for anybody to vote for him.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Yes there IS a reason to vote for him. To keep the REPUBLICANS out of power. They are just not friends of ordinary citizens.

States are tasked to take care of our elderly and infirm through Medicaid. You want them in YOUR HOUSE? Quit YOUR job to give them 24 hour care like decades ago?

In your split level house where they can't get around?

Always vote your own financial interest....don't be hoodwinked by the wealthy who have "PEOPLE" to take care of their issues.

And schools.... you want your kids taught by the lowest bidders? Think about that.

  7. Mike Talboy should shut up and quit the whining. Gov. Nixon bailed his frat party out.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The race is closer than Jay thinks. Kander was a good house representative but is going to lose and the Gov. isn't going to save him. Too bad because Jason spent most of his term doing Jay's dirty work.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Nixon is a Republican. He doesn't even use the word Democrat, let alone help the state party.

    ReplyDelete
  10. No, to be a DINO, you have to actually put a D next to your name. Jay does not. He is a NAD - Not A Democrat.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Nixon needs Jeremy LaFever to compaign for him. LaFever is the most effective campaigner in Kansas City. He is a tremendous public speaker and has a mind as sharp as a tack. LaFever is Kansas City's (and perhaps Missouri's) brightest shining star.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Ha Ha! LaFever is the worst.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Good grief...of course, he wants to win, and doesn't want to associate with any party...who would at this point. Even after that moron Aiken put his foot in his mouth, he was still polling ahead of Claire. As to which party "connects" the the average person? Neither of them. These career politicians are in it for themselves, pure and simple. They work at this job until they retire, then pull down the ultimate retirement with free medical benefits.

  14. When Moreno was with Jay these problems didn't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Democrats need to convince voters our ideas are better. This idea that you should pretend to be a quasi-Republican to get elected, and then vote as a Democrat once in office is stupid. It makes you look like a hypocrite, gives validity to really bad Republican ideas, and damages the long term future of the Democratic party. Jay will win in a landslide, and Claire may still pull off a win. But they are damaging the Democratic brand in Missouri with their pretend-not-to-be-a-dem campaign strategies.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Why would Jay help the Democrats? Jay isn't a Democrat.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Nixon needs LaFever and Moreno to run his campaign. These guys are the go-to politicos when campaigns are falling off the rails. Nixon should at least hire one of them.

  18. No Yard Signs for DINOs10/3/12, 10:33 AM

Let's see, if I got this straight: Jason Kander wants help from Jay Nixon because they are both Democrats even though as DINOs they throw the party and its supporters under the wheels of the bus?

Jason, now do you see why most Democrats find your DINO ways annoying?

    ReplyDelete
  19. Does LaFaver need money or something? I keep seeing comments urging people to hire LaFaver, in Morenoesque fashion.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If you are a Democrat, just do what I do:Skip over the line box marked "Governor" on the ballot for as long as Nixon's name is listed.

I know a large number of Democratic activists who do just that if they talk about it or not.

    ReplyDelete
  21. LaFever does not need money. He made a mint in the private sector before running for office. I am simply pointing out that Nixon (and nay other struggling Democrat) should hire him for his political expertise and instinct. He is a political juggernaut.

I would hire LaFever before Moreno. LaFever has never lost a race.

    ReplyDelete
  22. LaFaver married money.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I saw a Nixon yard sign in Kansas City, but they may have put it back in the garage.

    ReplyDelete
  24. In all seriousness, as a Democrat, I have very little reason to go the polls in November with McCaskill, Nixon, Koster and Kander on the ballot. I will probably go and vote for Obama then turn in my ballot and walk out. I am sick and tired of these people trying to out conservative the Republicans. None of them are Democrats.

    ReplyDelete
  25. LaFever did not "marry money." He made his fortune the old-fashioned way: he earned it. He is a very successful business entrepreneur. The company he founded five years ago now employs 250-275 people. He is a true American success story. But you won't hear him tell you about his success because he is modest, unlike most successful buisnessmen and politicians.

I'll say it again - we need more Jeremy LaFevers in public office.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Mike Talboy should go back to sexting interns and stop attacking our governor.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I agree that Nixon should hire LaFever for the rest of the campaign. Not sure if LaFever has time, however. I think he is busy consulting with several other campaigns. The man is in high demand.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Does Jay have a degree in home economics also?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Who in the world would want a photo op with Cleaver? Maybe SpongeBob Squarepants at the car wash!
All of these folks look out for themselves, at least the successful ones. What does either political party bring to the game? Just a bunch of duds with dumb comments that you have to try to defend.
    Right, Akin?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nixon needs a photo-op with LaFever. That is worth at least six percentage points. Seriously, LaFever has a tremendous following in Kansas City but also in the rural parts of the state. Look for him to run statewide in a few years. He is the future, and the future is bright.

    ReplyDelete
  31. A tremendous following in rural parts of the state?

    Have another.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Missouri loves LaFever. The polls don't lie.

    I've got LaFever Fever.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I saw an internal Dem poll recently, and LaFever has better name recognition than almost any politician in the state. He is beat out only by Nixon, McCaskill, and Koster. LaFever was number 4, and his favorability rating is 73%. The voters recognize that LaFever has the answers. He will fight for us! He will win for us!

    ReplyDelete
  34. aren't you repeating yourself when you say "I've got LaFever Fever".

    ReplyDelete
  35. Nixon went to Kansas City's Northeast Neighborhood at least four times the year he got elected. Word from Marco is that after the August 2010 Primary circus by all the Jackson County elected and appointed people who help John Rizzo swipe enough ballots to pull off his one "vote" win, Nixon thought the corruption was too obvious to associate with local Dems who either participated, or stood by and watched.
