TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! COMPLAINTS EMERGE OVER MAYOR SLY'S LACK OF SUPPORT FOR JASON KANDER!!!

Keeping campaign promises has never been a priority for elected officials in Kansas City but the smartest people in this town know that returning political favors is paramount for those hoping to hold onto power.

Here's the difference:

Kansas City voters are disengaged from the political process and most of the residents of this town have given up on Democracy altogether. Meanwhile, fellow office holders, leaders of PACs and even the tiniest constituencies expect that their colleagues will honor their commitments. None of the politicos in this town are so naive that they would expect "honesty" but abiding by basic accounting principles in the horse trading that is local politics is expected. Put simply, in Kansas City favors must be returned.

To wit . . .

JASON KANDER HAS MANY STRONG SUPPORTERS IN KANSAS CITY AND THEY HAVE NOW STARTED TO COMPLAIN THAT MAYOR SLY HASN'T DONE MUCH OF ANYTHING TO HELP IN A MO SECRETARY OF STATE CONTEST THAT REMAINS A CLOSE!!!

To be fair and accurate, it's important to note that sources inside the Kander Campaign For Missouri Secretary Of State are NOT complaining about Mayor Sly. In fact, off the record, Kander's campaign has described Mayor Sly James as "very helpful" in their effort.

But most suspect that they're just being nice.

Let's backtrack for just a moment . . . Remember when Sly James and MO House Rep. Jason Kander were best buddies during the Mayoral Election?

It wasn't so long ago . . .

Jason Kander sent out e-mail blasts in favor of Sly James.

Kander and Sly James knocked doors together.

Just for the record, let's make it clear how Kansas City's Mayor election really went down . . .

JASON KANDER BASICALLY PUT MAYOR SLY INTO OFFICE AND WITHOUT THE HELP OF KANSAS CITY'S MOST BELOVED ELECTED OFFICIAL IN THE WARD PARKWAY CORRIDOR, SLY JAMES WOULDN'T HAVE MADE IT PAST THE PRIMARY!!!

Don't argue with me . . . At the time he ran for office Mayor Sly had no experience in a crowded field where not even the Eastside seemed to give him much respect.

MO House Rep. Jason Kander "vouching" for Sly James didn't just open doors, he gave Sly James legitimacy among the Midtown and monied set who have always been suspicious of minority politicos.

And today critics rightfully complain that they have yet to see a single public display of support for Jason Kander from Mayor Sly.

And while Mayor Sly's beautiful smile might not convince voters in rural Missouri - where this race will be won . . . There's a lot the Mayor could do in KC and STL to display his endorsement of the guy who is responsible for getting him into office.

Finally . . . What's important for Kansas City residents might be the realization the Mayor Sly might talk a good game about remembering where he came from BUT as of this writing he hasn't done much to demonstrate that he will return support to the people who helped put him into office.

Developing . . .

Comments

  1. It's getting closer. Sly might not want to hurt his chances with racist mid missouri voters. Ever think of that TKC?

  2. Kander will get a job from Sly after he loses the election. Can't be much more supportive than that!

  3. Sly doesn't help anyone other than himself.

  4. NIGGERS will ONLY help other NIGGERS. That's just the way it is....Enjoy, Kansas City.

    Shouldn't you be in school?

  6. I don't think that an endorsement from Sly is a positive thing.

  7. Hey hillbilly fuck toy, shouldn't you be on your knees some where?

    ReplyDelete
  8. But hey, that was back in the day before bow ties and bloody boots....

  9. Byron-Why impose 7:55 on the schools? Don't they have enough problems already?

    ReplyDelete
  10. The victories are all Jason's but the defeats come from a lack of help-even when the soon be defeated Kander was arrogant enough to run statewide in his 20s.

  11. Don't agree with the comment that James wouldn't have made past the primary without Kander. That's Kander talking. The truth is otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Oh no, the guy said the "n-word"! Let's get a rope and string 'em up.....Forget the fact that the "n's" commit the largest percentage of violent crime, by far... Let's just get him for saying the forbidden word!

  13. Jason is a douche who deserves so much more than losing an election.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sly never helped anybody but himself. Show me one example.

  15. I disagree with Tony a bit more than I agree with him.

But on this one, sadly he seems to be right.

You can question HOW IMPACTFUL Kander's support of Sly was, but you CANNOT say it was half-hearted.

Kander had YOUR back, Sly ... now it's time to step up.

Given the recent history of how numerous states have begun to aggressively suppress the vote of minorities, and how CENTRAL the Secretaries of State have been in that shameful effort (see Ohio!), this is NOT A SMALL MATTER.

IT'S NOT ALL ABOUT YOU, SLY -- BE A REAL LEADER OF MISSOURI PROGRESSIVES OR WHY DID WE ELECT YOU?

  16. Wont vote for anyone who uses military service as a tool to get elected. Wrote blood type on boots.....give me a break. No vet should vote for this turd.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm voting for Jason, but I'll admit the blood type on the boots is laying it on a bit thick.

  18. Another Midtown Mom10/25/12, 1:12 PM

I have always voted for Jason Kander. And it's his right to talk about his military service if he wants to, he earned it. But the reason that I'm voting for him is that he has always been an excellent public servant and very responsive to all of his constituents.

Our mayor should be proud to support Jason Kander.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Kander put Sly in office? Hardly.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I worked on Sly's campaign and we only saw Jason Kander twice, when we were doing photo ops.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Did the Mayor's people finally get back from lunch?

  22. Kander Kareer Kaput

  23. An endorsement really isn't a good thing from this Mayor. I'm likely to vote against you if I see it in the campaign literature. He probably should stand on his own two feet and start knocking on doors if he wants to win. Let's refuse to take the lazy way out, please.

  24. Endorsements are part of the political process. Grow up Shoeller goon.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Jason has the right to talk about his military service (or anything else, for that matter). I have the right to think it's over the top and say so.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Right on 6:07. I remember humility by vets, not using it for elective office.

    ReplyDelete
  27. When I was a child, all adult males were veterans, & they absolutely wouldn't talk about it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Midtown. No argument on "right to". Question is, ":should". I agree with the others. Run on the issues.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nailed it Bryon. Those who served, did not use it as leverage.

No wonder we will be owned by China in 20 years.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Byron, mentally and emotionally you are still a child.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Just like Kander.

    ReplyDelete
  32. What's a Shoeller goon? Elaborate.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Kander was so moved by September 11, 2001 that he enlisted in 2005.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Byron = Fuckturd

    ReplyDelete
  35. Kander does not really talk about what he did in the military, he just talks about being in the military.

God knows what he really did.
