Recently, I was talking to a Kansas City Democratic Power Broker and he noted that the campaign of Missouri House District 24 Candidate Judy Morgan was an "absolute mess" among other things.
He wasn't very specific but it's clear that the KC Democratic Party Elite aren't happy with the lady who won this spot by beating a strong, young LGBT candidate into submission and alienating (or at least driving a wedge between) a great many among the Midtown KC Democratic base in the process . . . Come to think of it . . . Maybe that's what he was talking about . . .
In any event . . .
KANSAS DEMOCRATS AND JUDY MORGAN ARE COMPLETELY DOMINATING THE NEWLY CREATED MO HOUSE DISTRICT THAT ENCOMPASSES MIDTOWN KANSAS CITY!!!
Early on . . . There was hope that this district which reaches parts of Downtown and up to the Plaza would offer a fighting chance for the GOP in Midtown Kansas City but it's clear that the race isn't competitive.
How do we know?
Among other things . . . Check the MO ETHICS campaign finance reports . . .
Judy Morgan's latest report puts her with about $12,014.80 cash on hand in her Oct. report.
Her campaign workers are also going back into Kansas City Midtown neighborhoods and putting up signs as the election draws near.
As for her competition . . . Jonathan Sternberg still doesn't even have his campaign website up . . . I haven't seen a single neighborhood sign but for some strange reason he has a few posters on a couple of Midtown bars . . .
Don't get it twisted . . . Mr. Sternberg is a smart, young man and early on he seemed hopeful about his chances in this newly designed district.
However, he's just not getting any help from the GOP or Midtown Kansas City.
In his latest October Campaign Finance Report Mr. Sternberg reported that he has only $121.92 cash on hand which isn't even equal to most well-kept Midtown Kansas City spare change jars.

Note: There's a rumor floating around that if king obamasama gets reelected, everyone gets to update their free Obama phone to a newer version. Oh, they will also qualify for more cheese discounts.

Futhermore Missouri Republicans have tried to not even put a candidate on the ballot where there is no hope at all, fearing that it might spur voter turnout and hurt their state wide and nation wide candidate.
