Michael Mikkelsen DUI Checkpoint Protest Clip

Michael Mikkelsen couldn't see eye to eye with Occupy KC but now he's back in action and continuing his protest against Kansas City DUI Checkpoints.

Take a look:

KC Checkpoint Protester Arrested for Holding a Sign

It's an interesting video and probably appropriate as the weekend is coming up . . . And maybe a good reason to keep a cab number handy.

More later . . .

  4. This guy is one of the biggest dbags I have ever seen in my life. I hope a drunk runs him over and kills him so we never have to hear from this dickhead again! Tony, please dont give this dumbass any more publicity. This pussy is a total piece of shit.

  5. Still, he's exercising his first amendment rights, just as are people who flick their lights to warn drivers of an upcoming radar cop.

He shouldn't have been arrested. People wrongfully arrested on charges already found Unconstitutional need to have some recourse so THEY THEMSELVES don't have to pay legal fees to defend themselves for this kinda heavy handed crap from the gumment!

  6. The guy might be a little wacked, but he is right. the cops arrested him because they didn't like him or what he communicates - not because he broke some horseshit off the wall KC ordinance. If the cops got arrested every time they violated some ordinance they'd have to hire Pinkertons to work the streets. Perfect example of why KCPD needs more supervision.

  7. I would say unless you had a family memeber killed by a drunk driver, well you might then support this movement.
I am on the fence with this, because I drink, and I too have driven drunk which was not very responsible, but am willing to admit that.

I get what this guy is saying about checkpoints, and I see his view on right to speech, but he seems intelligent and using the 2 to try and make himself come to light in a spotlight that he will never win in!!... everyone hates drunk drivers...well at least the ones who dont actually make it home, thousands of drunk drivers make it home every weekend night in KC without incidence, so heres the thing, if you can make it home well then you are a pro, the cops may only do these checkpoints for the non drinkers that demand something be done about the ones who do drink and go out and have a good time. Their stats on checkpoints and the amount of actual DD they catch are very low, but it looks good to the non drinking public, it gives them a false sense of security. besides those kinda folk wouldn't be out at 1 am or 2 am in most cases so unless a DD plows through their bedroom they should just let it go.

  8. Michael Mikkelsen is an alleged rapist:

Testimonials from others who've had to deal with Michael Mikkelsen:

He may stand up for rights of others, but he violates the rights of some women which is despicable behavior.

  9. What has he been convicted of? Or is accusing the same as guilty in these parts?

  10. Give him a break guys, this is his right to inform ,and the police mite be trying to save lives but people are also targeted to make their quota.
If you follow him you'd know the courts agree its his right.
    Information is freedom.
I don't support drunk driving, but a DUI for a couple drinks can ruin a life as well.
There are people who are thanking God for avoiding a DUI that would've destroyed their life.
Remember he protests mainly in city areas heavily populated with bars and most of the people live nearby.
Everybody should be entitled to knowing when and where these checkpoints are instead of being trapped.
