Kansas City Promo: Berkley Riverfront Park

Kansas City's Port Authority presents a beautiful look at a costly park that's mostly unused . . . Check it:

Berkley Riverfront Park

On the bright side . . . Because the place is relatively abandoned there aren't too many instances of violence at the desolate location and so it is or could be utilized for folks "living in a van down by the river" given the current global economic outlook.

Comments

  1. It's unused because it's in the middle of nowhere, there's nothing there, and you can't get anywhere near the river.
Other than that, another well-executed idea by the city and the "Port Authority".
Great opportunity for some really nice insider dealing and completely out of sight of the public.
How are things going near the "port" of Belton?

Plus if neighbor pisses you off jump behind the wheel fire it up and move.

  3. Named after a DO NOTHING MAYOR

  4. Fuck off. Berkley did more for KC than any other Mayor that has been in office so far. At least he didn't saddle us with debt like Kay or just run on empty words like Sly.

Berkley was the best Mayor KC ever had.

  5. You know all said and done Dick wasn't to bad a Mayor

  6. I enjoy the park several days a week by walking, jogging, and sometimes lunch. For the clown who can't get near the water, it's a river which must be controlled, not a pond.

  8. There ain't no tea rooms so that I can suck dick.

  9. They left out the Gay Pride Festival that was held there in 2011. They were probably afraid the images of drag queens would scare off the family event people.

  10. Just a reminder that no city, state or federal funds were used to build the park. It was a requirement of the Port Authority lease with the Hilton (now Isle of Capri) riverboat that Hilton provide the funds to build the park.
