Kansas City Ambulance Service On The Clock

Coco Austin inspires us to take another look at a public service ruined by Kansas City special interests.

Response times for Kansas City ambulances are again under the microscope as a recent audit revealed that the average rate is one minute slower.

Fox4: A report released on Wednesday showed in November 2011, right before MAST merged with the Kansas City Fire Department, ambulances arrived at a scene nine minutes or less 84 percent of the time. After the merger, that number dropped to 75 percent of the time.

Once again dispatch procedures take the blame but behind the scenes there are clearly a still organizational issues at play that nobody feels comfortable mentioning.

  2. Smokey's revenge. Poor response times and big early pension payments.
