  2. Isn't Forte' tired of going to the scene of each homicide by now, or has he given up?
Still no indication that community leaders will support or at least be quiet and let the PD roll up the thugs, so the cowardly police board and folks at city hall just sit and watch the city south of the river not so slowly disappear.
And all the focus and money stays put on superficial nothing.
    Really a shame.

  3. That's right by the Restart shelter and that park. Some unseemly people around there. I once saw a woman wearing a dress walk out of that shelter and squat right on the corner in plain daylight. I drove off before I could tell if she pissed or shit. Needles on the ground, trash, booze bottles. Worst park in the city.

    1. That park will never be clean. Too much bad stuff around it.

  6. And if you think that the money just passed for the parks will actually be spent on them, you haven't been paying much attention to the way KCMO actually works.
Big annoucncment; lots of promises; tax passes in a small turn-out election; nobody pays any attention to what actually happens;insider with a nifty new idea shows up every day at city hall; money is needed for the new shiny program; hunt begins for where money is that no one will miss because they're not paying any attention; money found in the parks budget.
    Repeat.
    A city that works.
    Just not for you.
