Sharon Sanders Brooks @ The Urban Summit
Tony, here is a photo of Ms. Sharon Sanders-Brooks, after she attended the Urban Summit's Mid-Year Economic Development meeting this morning. She stayed to share information with residents in the local community. Prior to this meeting she was an on-air participant in a discussion regarding the history of African Americans and Voting Rights. Needless to say she remains engaged & continues to do her part to empower her local community.

ReplyDeleteIt's a bit hard to believe that someone who didn't accomplish a thing as an election official is now going to add so much to the community.

6:46, what is it that you contribute to your local community? Secondly it's ELECTED official, & thirdly apparently you weren't informed that Ms. Brooks wasn't willing to compromise while in office & this was just too much for certain persons & organizations to accept.
ReplyDelete7:00; Brooks was not re-elected because she was rude, mean and disrespectful to everyone in City Hall, as well as residents and others with whom she dealt on a daily basis. She was ineffective because she could not work with anyone.

We have perhaps the shittiest Councilperson known to man (Reed) and they wanted to recall him three times this year and we're downing her for actually being in the position and trying to make a difference. Reed has been out of town more than he's been here. Plus, he shows videos to compensate for his absence. I think we should give Ms. Brooks some credit. I don't know what the personal assaults are for but I'm sure everyone has their reasons. At least she made it through her term. We're now saying "Anybody but baby-Brooks (Alvin)"
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that people "trying to make a difference" keep doing the same things that have brought the east side to the point it is?
ReplyDeleteThe Urban Summit and Ms. Brooks need to have some meeyings, develop a strategy that involves working closely with the KCPD, and raise their voices against the behaviors, crime, violence, and homicides that go on in the community every day. Economic summits, Google fiberhoods, and grocery stores aren't going to save that community.
This old, bitch left her legacy on the council. It is one of rude and inept tenure Alone with stupidity and unfettered arrogance. She can go square to hell and take rev Tindell with her.

She has such a sense of entitlement that she actually filed for unemployment after she lost her council election. She is the grifter who teaches the other Eastside grifters how to grift.

ReplyDeleteThe only good news that could possibly involve Sharon Sanders Brooks would be if she was leaving Kansas City entirely. She is mean, hateful, and impossible to work with - and this comes from someone who actually agrees with many of her positions on the issues.
