Kansas City Dead Body Found This Morning

A developing story that adds to our Kansas City body count . . .

Police are investigating after a body was found near 58th and Prospect in Kansas City, Mo.

More importantly . . . We've noticed that the KCPD Daily Homicide Analysis has temporarily shut down and hasn't been updated since Sept. 11.

Crime stats are REALLY IMPORTANT to residents, media and everyone concerned with accurate data regarding crime in this town. . . So, we hope that it's just a glitch or a temporary setback as Kansas City still struggles to come to grips with our murder count.

KCPD.org has not been updated in a LONG time. That website is old.

  2. Hot Spot Forte's silly copy cat programs are an utter failure at anything but gobbling up the resources of the KCPD with zero results. The daily analysis just highlights the failure. Forte the saviour thinks that by shutting it down and not updating anything, people won't notice, won't ask and will stop caring.

  3. THAT WAS IN GLADSTONE JACKASS, NOT KC

  4. Dear Mr. Tony: Thanks for posting this info!! KCPD homicide totals have now been updated, and we have good and bad news. Good news: We are at 77 homicides for 2012, compared to 81 at this point in 2011. Bad news: Bloodbath in black neighborhoods that began in the spring of 2008 shows no signs of stopping: We are now at 59 black homicides for 2012; compared to 62 for all of 2007. Also, in the past 15 years there has been a yearly average in KCMO of 42 more black homicides than homicides of other races--right now we are at 41 more black homicides than homicides of other races; with over three months left in the year. Take care!!Sincerely and Respectfully, Ernest Evans

  5. 11:51 Before calling someone a jackass, you might want to click the link. The star says it was in KC at 58th & Prospect. Pretty sure there is no 58th & Prospect in Gladstone. It would be ne 58th & N. Antioch. Besides, the link says it was not a suspicious death.

  6. Looks like 11:51 needs to check his facts before spouting off. 2 different deaths.
