Steve Vockrodt of The Kansas City Biz Journal reports Mayor Sly's contingency plan:
Mayor James keeps undated resignations from appointees
The documents are already signed from The TIF Commission and all of the people on PIAC.
It might be good policy even if it's a bit controlling and definitely reveals that our Mayor isn't such a nice guy and he's not as affable as he might seem when the cameras are rolling.
Some might argue that this is good, hard-nosed policy . . . It's also just a sign that the Mayor doesn't trust anybody and his political allegiances aren't really that strong.
If this is true, why the hell would anyone agree to serve under such circumstances?? This is bullshit.

ReplyDeleteThis is smart IMO. Why would you appoint people to potentially run unchecked? Francis S is a classic example. Good for Sly. Finally someone with some brains.
