CELEBRATE THE KANSAS CITY GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE HEATWAVE!!!

Keep believing that all of the filth belched into the sky isn't causing any harm.

These local stories are rather optimistic about the heat because it's easy to play politics in a nice air-conditioned studio.

A Summer Heatwave Comparison

The heat wave is wearing us out

Sadly, the water no longer provides to cool off given that it's increasingly toxic and Missouri the lakes are mostly just pools of E. Coli.

  1. T believes in global warming, but does not believe in clean and efficient public transportation.

Did ya get kicked in the head much as a child T?

  2. And of course, the policies of Patrick Touhey and Tracy Ward will help stop the belching of poison into the air .... Right Tony?

There is absolutely no contradiction in your thinking there!

    Try again Tony!

  3. How is the toy train gonna help. People should just walk the 2 miles.

  4. Oh, here we go again. It's July it's Kansas City, and it's hot. Look what's crawling out from under their rocks.

  5. Very interesting point, 6:24. Wonder why Tony hasn't checked with his anti-government, libertarian friends that he goes out of his way to tout as free thinkers about global warming.

And of course, Tony makes the same mistake the deniers make every time it's extremely cold and snowy in January. Weather on a particular spot on the planet is NOT evidence about global warming one way or the other. Extremes of weather have happened throughout history.

What is evidence is the hard, and boring, data gathered scrupulously from around the globe that the entire planet is getting warmer in ways that look slow and gradual to the uninformed, but actually at a accelerated rate over the past few decades that once took centuries for natural, cyclical changes to occur, and the correlation between this rather rapid increase in global temperatures with the rather rapid increase in CO2 in the atmosphere.

  7. 7:42: Free thinkers = BAD! You KNOW you're not supposed to think for yourselves! That makes you DENIERS. Deniers = BAD. BAD THINKERS, VERY BAD THINKERS. Here, agree with me, drink the Kool Aid. Good Boy! Now stop thinking and give Al Gore all your money.

  8. Dear God, I love this picture. If there is global warming, please just let me have her.

  9. 8:44, sorry, but the deniers are basically knee-jerk reactionaries -- you know, the opposite of free thinkers.

Now go do a little independent research on this subject and assemble some hard data before you regurgitate Rush Limbaugh to show what a "free thinker" you are.

  10. 2:30 You gullibles like to paint prople who disagree with you with a broad brush, don't you? I wouldn't piss on Rush Limbaugh if he were on fire, but I also question anthropogenic global warming because I've studied ancient history and geology.

By the way, if you do buy into anthropogenic global warming, have you done your part to reduce it? By that I mean not reproducing?

  11. I'm also old enough to remember several media-hyped threats of new dust bowls and ice ages.

News shows and newspapers have 365 days of space to fill, and the more they can scare their audience, the better their ratings, and the more money they can make fom advertising.

AFter a few years they become like the boy who cried wolf.
