CROWN CENTER FOUNTAIN BOYCOTT?!?!

KSHB soaks up every bit of this story that Kansas City talked to death yesterday: "Angry parents may boycott Crown Center"

Comments

  1. Everything's overpriced there anyway.

  2. Wow, another blycott!
Don't go to the P&L District, Crown Center, and who knows where else because someone won't do what YOU want.
Of course, staying at home will be big for pizza deliveries!

  3. As usual, in Black Run America, any and everything is about "White Racism".

Chlorine in no way kills all the nsty bacteria in pools and fountains all over the US. Your kids should NEVER be in a public pool. It is NASTY.

Hey, maybe the bacteria is racist and the Federal Government can fix the problem by sending free money to those folks who have been discrimintated against by racist bacteria.

Those same folks who have fuckin planaria level IQs.

  4. Is it true that Dianne Cleaver bought the Crown Center Klean the Poor Kids Wash?

  5. I'm sure the Boycott will bring the Crown Center to it's knees, so get ready hood rats you will be back at the local "pool" in no time!! What a joke!! Liberals have no limits to what they think is their business!!

    ReplyDelete
  6. What does this have to do with race? Watch the news link. The majority of the children in the fountain, who obviously came in bathing suits for that purpose, were white. Meanwhile the reporters didn't speak to any parents or any color threatening to boycott. The closest they came were some white grandparents who said they could see it costing the area business but they didn't say they were boycotting.
This is being overblown. They only mentioned an online poll. How did anyone get the idea of a boycott from that?

    ReplyDelete
  7. When you have hoardes of black kids, most unsupervised, who turn a FOUNTAIN into a WATER PARK, what do you expect the owners of that property to do? Put up a fuckin slide, feed the kids, then give them free movie passes? The people threatening to boycott for the most part dont shop at Crown Center. This is just like the Plaza debacle, allow black youth to run buck wild to the detriment of everyone else.

If you could charge people to play in the fountains then that would also eliminate the target group - poor minorities. But rather than make it a financial issue they are making it a health issue (with an insurance liability added in on top of it, for "extra protection"). TOTAL BS - they are getting rid of the "black blight" and that is plain to anyone with eyes to see it.

  11. This is just what the Hall's want. They hate African Americans, so thing think if they shut down access to the fountains blacks will not show up at Crown Center anymore.

The proper response is for African American groups to bring crowds of people to Crown Center just to stand around but not buy anything.

    ReplyDelete
  12. This has nothing to do with race. It has everything to do with liability. I'm stunned access to the fountain has gone on this long. "Angry parents may boycott Crown Center"? Fine, they aren't spending any money there anyway.

"The proper response is for African American groups to bring crowds of people to Crown Center just to stand around but not buy anything."

Yeah, great idea. What a shock!

The real shock will be if they just stand around and don't assault anyone or sucker punch them.

  15. But the majority of the kids in the fountaine were not black. So those on both sides are wrong. This is not racists (they are not trying to keep blacks away since they were not the group there in the first place) and blacks didn't ruin this (again the people there were not mainly black). This was a mixed group. So again why is everyone assuming this this about race either way?

I think it is about liability in this lawsuit happy culture of ours. Also I think it is about pushing people to the paid exhibits for children.

As for Halls. Halls has been there since the beginning and if it were people of whatever color in the fountain they were concerned about they would have hollored years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  16. They are doing it for health and liability reasons but if it has the side benefit of ridding the area of riff-raff, all the better. And especially just prior to the All-Star game.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Not to mention all their cars in the garages taking up the free parking that could be used by tourists going to Legoland and the Aquarium.

    ReplyDelete
  18. 9:50 if they are all riff-raff, I doubt they would have a car. Maybe its all the METRO transfer stubs left near the fountains.

It sounds like the Rich part of town, not wanting the Poor Part of town people, playing where they (rich) play too.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Most of the commenters haven't been to crown center recently, if ever. Free parking is only free if you get it validated, which you have to buy something to do. Please. Most of these families are frequenting the food court at CC st the very least. And it's really too bad this policy came among at a time when crown center was finally becoming a destination for families again.

  20. Time for another TKC boycott!

  21. CHUCKLES @ 7:05,
"Black Run America" (BRA) has to contain the boobs like you from spreading your hate.
You suggest closing ALL public pools? Man, I think you've been drinking the chlorine!
Planaria ? Remember after your urologist examined you the 1st time and inquired if you were a microbiologist?

  22. 8:36, "everything to do with liability" ?

You place a ground-level water fountain display on your heavily trafficked property, there are no walls/borders placed around it, young people are naturally drawn to it, over many years it becomes quite common to see youth playing in the fountain...........and NOW it's all about liability??? That makes NO SENSE. All these years there's been no liability issue?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. All those years there was also no liability issue on how hot your coffee could be either...whats your point? Give a million monkeys a million type writers for a million years, one of them is going to hit paydirt. How long until some court whore figured out a way to make a buck at the fountain?

You could have headed to beach or mountain,
But you're at Crown Center enjoying our fountain,
We hope you enjoy the display of water,
Please shop with your wife, son, and daughter,
Avoid the temptation to make a mad dash,
Keep your clothes on and no splish and no splash,
It's all about safety and our bottomline,
Please follow the guidelines and all will be fine.

  24. Boycott?? The parents of the fountain babies weren't buying shit anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  25. This will all be corrected quickly. The Halls are installing ancilliary equipment to add a sterilizing agent to the fountain water that will selectively neuter all the Mexicans and Negros. This is a manufactured controversy allowing them time to implement this new family planning strategy in conjunction with the vast right wing conspiracy.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm ALL for fewer (or, NO!) kids at Crown Center. Boycott away!

    ReplyDelete
  27. This happened about thirty years ago when my nieces were young. I went to a concert there with my sister and her family. The fountains were squirting and nobody was out there. I kept daring my nieces to go out there and run thru the fountains but they wouldn't. So I got up and ran thru the fountains and back just to shame them. Within five minutes there were about a hundred kids out there in the fountains. All those kids wanted to go out there and play in the fountains but their parents said NO because there wasn't anyone else out there. As soon as a grown man did it it suddenly became OK for the kids to do it. It is one of my fondest memories. Who knows, maybe I'm the one who started the tradition those many years ago?

  28. Drop a couple of 220v lines in the water. That'll break the little shits from sucking eggs.

  29. Guaranteed somewhere in this story there is a lawyer, lawsuit, or risk management involved. This is what happens to everything.

  30. This all became, because a crown center exec went by and actually paid some attention to the local surroundings on the way to the fat jet at the downtown airport...he saw some black folk, he saw some white folk, he saw some brown folk...all keeping cool and having a good time, but he figured these are poor folk and they are not spending any money in the center so shut this bitch down!~!!... there is more truth to that than you know!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. 9:16 Well, you know how it is. If these Johnson county cocksuckers go five minutes without making it some racial thing, they'll break out in a cold sweat and lose a few hours of sleep. The people who claim to be sticking up for minorities and blaming everything on old whitey are just as racist as the retards that come around screaming the n-word every ten seconds.

    And yes, I'm white.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I could buy that some exec wanted to shut down the free entertainment to push people to the paid exhibts. Also I buy that it is about liability. Someone said why now after all these years. Well I bet someone's kid has gotten hurt or picked up a fungus and is threatening to sue. In turn they will settle and shut down the fountain to keep others from following suit.
Why now? because people threaten to sue now over the smallest things. Why now? Because now days everyone wants someone to blame for everyday boo boos, cuts, scrapes, etc.

So it is probably all about money. Not wanting to get sued and not wanting to have some free activity for kids taking away from the paid attractions.

Also putting a sign up won't work. You are basically admitting that you know people use it as a water park but you are saying you are not respondible. But yet you will mainatian it.

The only way to lessen liability is to ban it and then anyone there is technically a trespasser. So they may not really stop the splashers but it will be clear that they are not supposed to be there and any thing that happens is on them because they are tresspassing (on the fountains not the shopping center)

  33. The only thing possibly "retarded" there 4:33 is your inability to say NIGGER instead of "the N-word". Of course, you're so well trained by the apes that anything you're instructed to do, you will comply with. Enjoy your serfdom, bitch!
